Welcome newest Mehtizen!
45Unfortunately, I don't know how to post pictures from my phone, so will have to add them later when I get home. But my baby girl, Victoria Evelyn, finally made her appearance Friday, at a heavy 9 pounds, 10 ounces! She had to be induced, which was a long process! All went well, even though I had a fever right before delivery, so baby is on antibiotics and therefore a NICU baby. But she's healthy enough that she can stay in the room with me, and we just have to limit visitors.
We couldn't come up with a good enough middle name that starts with an M, so her initials are VEP instead (Hah, you thought my last name was Beckett based on my username, and you would be wrong).

Congratulations!
Congratulations! If you're feeling up to trying it, install the Imgur app on your phone, or you can still upload on their mobile website. Then just be sure to select Share Direct Link from holding on the picture.
@jqubed and if you're app-overloaded (I am) the mobile web version from your browser works perfectly fine.
Congrats. It is wonderful your precious baby can be in the room with you. Nuturing human touch is so important when they have a new environment foist upon them at birth.
Marilyn instead of Evelyn would've made it VMP. :)
Congrats again!
Let's see if this works...

Update: I get released today, but baby has to stay a couple more days. She gets her own room, so I will be able to stay with her! I miss my big girl, and hopefully baby can go home in a couple days!
@MrsBeckett What a little (big) doll! Congrats, and hope she's home soon where everyone can just settle in.

@Pavlov Thank you!
@MrsBeckett OMG! What a little sweetie! (Though she's really a pretty big sweetie at that birth weight!) Welcome to the World Victoria!
Meh doesn't honor time-stamps. :(
@DrunkCat Thank you for a great laugh! I need some good laughs right now!
Congratulations on your beautiful daughter!
@Thumperchick Thanks! Can't wait ro see yours in a few months! I hope your labor, delivery, and recovery go well!
One piece of advice if you plan on breastfeeding (which it sounds like you are): take advantage of Lactation Consultants while you are in the hospital recovering!
@MrsBeckett definitely! Thanks for the advice and well wishes. Now - go enjoy that beautiful baby girl!! I'll sit here and be happy for you and jealous that I have to wait.
Congrats @MrsBeckett!
And another update: life threw the best curve ball at us today. Instead of the anticipated Thursday discharge, we get to go home today! The doctor decided that since her 48 hour blood test (they test a total of 21 days, but the first 48hours are usually a good indicator) was showing no bacteria growing, she doesn't need to be on antibiotics!
@MrsBeckett That's wonderful news.
@MrsBeckett Woohoo!
Congratulations! Welcome to having a daughter. It is a roller coaster ride from day one. A ride you will never want to get off of, and never let go. Enjoy it, and I hope you and Victoria do great at home.
