Weird stuff at Meh HQ.
17Today was a weird day. We got a lot of packages.
From @thismyusername, some suckers for his favorite suckers. (They're delicious, thanks!)
From a "mystery" person,
I'm just not sure what to make of this.
From another mystery person:
^These are super rad and awesome. Thank you mystery person!
I know, @chadp, @mehcus, and @galmaegi all got weird stuff too. Bug them until they post about it!

@chadp, @mehcus, and @galmaegi
@carl669 eww
@galmaegi but @hollboll told me to bug you guys. i just took her literally.
@carl669 I hope you didn't literally take me.
@hollboll but i have hot dogs and pork rinds.
@mehcus there's a bug in this thread! :)
Someone is just asking for a box of ladybugs to be shipped
@MrMark that's been done - it made them sad.
@MrMark 1500 ?!?!
@Thumperchick Who got them?
@sohmageek it was part of the Seligman experiment.
@Thumperchick damn I missed it
@MrMark we ordered 25,000 of these guys for a senior prank of biblical proportions in high school...never panned out. they shipped to a friends house and his parents released them after 2 sleepless nights
@ticklescratch Well I must have at least 1500 wintering in my car if someone needs some for purposes that will not kill them. Each and every time I use it I am liberating bunches of them for the next hour. There are several large piles of them in the engine compartment as well. They are in every nook and cranny. They get really pale during the winter. Some are starting to get red again so maybe they will leave soon. Daffodils have bloomed at least a month early here too.
comic sans is probably the most goatable offense and I'm gutted to see who chose to use it
I'm sorry guys I jumped the gun and let everybody down ._.
My little slice of the pie was glorious!
Pink package, how chic:
COLORING BOOOOOOOOOOOOOKS!!!!!!
@MEHcus Anything Animaniacs is A-OK in my book!
@narfcake They're the best.
@MEHcus Did the books come pre-colored?
@MEHcus I miss the Animaniacs. Awesome gift.
@looseneck Yep, some of the pages were already colored in.
@MEHcus And here I was getting all impressed with your coloring skills.
@narfcake
Only way for the coloring books to be mediocre. ;)
Here's what we are dealing with at my desk.
Ok. That's weird. Just a black box.
Now I'm concerned. I don't need a vape pen. Not a tobacco one anyway.
Alright. That's actually pretty cool.
Works fine.
@ChadP i have that same set of darts!
@ChadP can't remember if I ever wrote the OHSHIT REPORT for the last time I tried to play darts
@ChadP I like that knife technique. I expected it to come out with some white powder on the blade.
@shawn I don't remember reading that; that feels like something I'd remember reading.
A "mystery" person sent me this satellite receiver.
I'm not sure what to do with it but getting something in the mail makes me happy.
@galmaegi Deh-mehlition!
@galmaegi oh maybe it's super hacked and gets every channel in the universe?
@thismyusername @galmaegi
@jqubed
@DaveInSoCal Let me ask @harrison!
@thismyusername Ha! That would be nice. We can watch some Korean shows.
@galmaegi I'm really curious about what this can receive; can you tell me the make/model?
@jqubed It says "Digital Satellite Receiver VS Pro" on the front. On the back it says "Dish IN13/18V Max.500mA" and "DO NOT EXPOSE TO RAIN OR MOISTURE"
It also says "NRTL Listed C Met, Listing #E112514" Apparently it's tested to comply with FCC standards and is okay for home or office use. It was also made in Korea.
@hollboll I was made in Korea too.
@galmaegi
A mystery mehnace sent me something too. Not very mehnacing actually. I wonder if there's an intended meaning....and your welcome for playing the game. It's kinda fun although a bit stalkerish.
hrm... this looks like it could be fun... I'm sure i have some crap,er....I mean cool stuff around here i could send in.... hrm...
@earlyre
It's always fun sending them random junk.
More importantly however, it's "polite".
@FroodyFrog Polite? Says who
@Moose
Oh dear, is someone feeling left out from the joy of receiving random junk, in which case the "mysterious" person should send you more stuff? I.e a broken DVD player
And it's polite, because it's called returning a favor.
Now, granted, I'm assuming nobody knows who's been sending this junk, or if it's 1 person or multiple persons, (although based on the return address, and the way the recipient address are all similar from package to package, I'm assuming it's the same person).
Still, I can only imagine they're trying to either return a favor, or brighten people's days up by letting them open up packages.
Based on various reactions, @ChadP and @Galmaegi seem pleased.
So, whoever sent those packages brightened the days of 2 people.
I'd call that polite, wouldn't you???
@FroodyFrog Polite: having or showing behavior that is respectful and considerate of other people.
I wouldn't call this game polite. Thoughtful, considerate or charitable could be more applicable but still don't quite hit the mark. Randomly gifting a set top box that could be inconvenient for the person who receives it and has to dispose of it properly/find a new home, isn't polite or thoughtful. A used coloring book is a strange way of being polite. This is more of a game of mystery than anything else. Not all people like surprises either so it's only truly entertaining for the person sending the things. That said I find it interesting and entertaining but no thought of the word polite entered my mind when I received the dilbert book.
You've made me officially suspicious that you're the game master. If you're not then someone else is laughing their evil laugh right now.
@denboy
Well it's definitely considerate of the people who got rid of this stuff.
I'm clueless though as to the identity of where this stuff is coming from, yet I'm entertained.
@FroodyFrog
We received two large stuffed animals today.
Was addressed to @anyone:
@moose wanted to point out that the fish doll is defective. One of the fins are too small.
This one was to @hollboll. It was very soft:
@hollboll Make sure it doesn't have a camera somewhere.
@hollboll Has @moose ever seen Finding Nemo? If not he really needs to- that's definitely from Finding Nemo.
