@Kidsandliz there’s a difference between wanting a product and the product being weak. Meh isn’t curating products to each of our specific tastes. while we might not individually be interested in a given product we can still recognize that they are selling a quality product.
Like today, the inverters are decent ones and the price is pretty good, if I wasn’t stocked to the gills on the things I’d be a customer.
@mfladd It’s not a pattern or anything and we have yet to see what they do about it, I am pretty confident they’ll make it right.
Edit: Just noticed I didn’t specify, that’s four things in the last ~3 weeks.
In the past 30 days, I’ve made a purchase on five different days. I made two purchases in the same period before that, and that was after a 29-day dry spell. If anything, products have been a lot better recently.
You’ve been here a couple months and placed two orders - that’s not all that bad.
I’ve bought a lot of stuff since arriving 1-1/2 yrs ago but nothing since January… so I guess you have a point. It has been the longest dry spell for me.
I am broke enough that I have to think carefully about buying even cheap. As a result it matters to me that I can find reviews of products elsewhere (and not just a couple of them that none might be from someone who actually bought and used the product). I realize that most of the time high quality items are not what gets sold on this site so I am not expecting the moon or even close to that. When I can find them, some of the reviews I have read have been eye opening with respect to features (and sometimes the word would/should be “features” in the pejorative) that aren’t mentioned in the description that may, or may not, matter to me/be a deal killer.
There have been a couple of items offered I would have used, including the one today, that when I read information that came out in the questions asked/reviews given on another website I realized that the product was not going to meet my needs. I was thankful to know that. As a result I no longer buy items I can’t find additional information about because I can’t afford to throw away my money. I also realize that many on this list are not as broke as I am and to put a match to 20 bucks isn’t going to matter to them as much as it does to me.
I like the variety of items that you have offered lately. For awhile it seemed seemed like a Bluetooth item was offered every other night. My son has enjoyed the Go Pro type camera and the tiny drones came yesterday. They have already driven the dog crazy.
It’s tough to say it’s been worse. While May appears to be the weakest in terms of units sold, it also appears it generated the most amount of revenue for them. Below is a very quick and not 100% accurate looks at the first five months of the year. For days that had multi item pricing I just used a number in between the high and the low that I felt was reasonable.
