VMP Start Date
3I found this odd.. I was just checking to see my VMP expiration date after @snapster gave some of us a free month.. and I noticed it said I've been a member since November 2014. I believe that I've been a member continuously since Day 0, so that surprised me a bit. It doesn't matter much, but I thought it might be worth asking?

Ooh! Another EST timer that's awake this early! :)
Are you saying that you've been a dues paying VMP member since Day 0 or just a mehmber? I didn't think that started until a few months into it.
If you look at the top, it tells you how long you've been a part of mediocre:
@luvche21 I swore I signed up for VMP with my kickstarter t-shirt.. And never quit since..
Oh, and I'm normally EST but on a business trip to PST and working nights.. Haha
@luvche21 oh, and it says I've been mediocre for 253 days.. Really weird.. Is that a count of the VMP time?
@kadagan Hm, maybe I'm wrong about the VMP starting later... I can't remember for sure.
@kadagan and the mediocre count must be since I created an account at mediocre, which was before meh even started. So no, it's not a VMP counter.
I think they have trouble with renewals (at least for some people) after free months. My free VMP was set to expire Feb 27th. Which it did, I wasn't watching that closely but later in the first week of March I was about to buy someone and noticed after clicking 'buy it' that signing up for VMP was a choice again! WTF! Wait a minute my VMP was supposed to renew, I have been a VMP since Sept. but nope. It shows 'VMP since 3/2015' now since someone gave me a free month. Bet it wont auto renew after April 8th either!
Not sure I want it anymore anyway losing the original start date has taken the luster off the VMP as strange as it may sound.
I don't understand why Meh doesn't let you update credit card info without buying something. What happens to your VMP if it comes up for auto-renewal time but your CC info is stale, like get a new card with new Exp. date or new replacement card cause of fraud or chip & pin. But you can't put in info till you buy something. It's stupid!
@BabyBear we agree that it's not ideal, that's why we're working on changes to the account page that will let you update your credit card on file and default shipping address. So far every time we've looked into problems with VMP renewals it's because of a problem with the card either being declined or expired.
@kadagan looks like there were a few attempts on the card we had on file for VMP that were declined back in November which caused the short lapse in VMP for you.
@JonT Ok, thanks for that clarification! Like I said, it doesn't matter much, but it surprised me.. haha
@kadagan Yeah sure no skin off your nose since your 'VMP since' didn't reset so you don't get made fun of as a newb by all the other VMP's.
Woohoo! I have been mediocre for 200 days. The joke is on Meh though, I've been mediocre a lot longer than that!
YOU'VE BEEN MEDIOCRE FOR 240 DAYS
:(
