Maybe it’s just me, but I was a little surprised to see this here. I kind of think of MorningSave as the Mediocre-branded place for cosmetics and fashion accessories now.
@shahnm I expect so. It also seems as if it should be good at mixing paint, as long as it’s one of those little quart-sized bottles one gets to see if they like the color.
@shahnm@yeppers-1 of the 1st alt uses for this I thought of was mixing paint, but that was before I read that it dried the brushes in 30 sec. So, unless the heating element control is seperate from the spin cycle control, the paint might mix, but wouldn’t it also, at least, begin to dry, get stuck to the container, or did I just read too fast? Now, paint brushes, that might be a very great idea! What about tooth-brushes, false teeth, jewelry, ¢oins, or a Fn hairbrush? Oh, Sorry, I got carried away!!
@djslack-I did read too fast! My Bad! Then throw a pint can of touch-up paint in that sucker! Maybe a pair of baby sneakers, or one at a time is going too far,…whatever!!
@jsh139 you put water and a mild cleaner in the bowl. The little attachments are for different sized brush handles. Put the brush and spin it in the water to remove the makeup, then spin it above the water to dry it.
@RiotDemon oooh, I see now. I thought you had to remove the brush from its handle or something, which I don’t even think is possible. I didn’t even see the attachments. Thanks!
I’m going to assume cleaning a makeup brush is an activity for professional or expensive brushes?
This is so far out of my knowledge scope that a midnight purchase like this could do more harm than good. It’s almost a trap. I’ll ask the wife and daughters in the am if it’s something they would use or want.
It either says I understand your needs or damn you need makeup.
@Woody1 The brushes or applicators that come with makeup are usually of poor quality so it’s common to buy brushes separately. To use same brush with more than one color you want to clean the brush in between. This could probably be quite handy actually. There might be some interest in the am.
@unksol I’m starting to get out of my depth here but I’d say you want to clean your brushes now and then anyway and also brushes can be surprisingly expensive.
@Pamela I suppose I don’t know the specifics but I have found abandoned brushes every where. In bags. Under car seats. Random drawers. Under furniture. If they were that valuable I’d think she’d keep track of them. But what do I know.
@Pamela@Woody1-Also, I think they mentioned ridding of bacteria, so it disinfects & or sanitizes the brush hair bristels. That’s good because some make-up contains Fn protien of Bat Dung!! No Lie!!
@UncleVinny- They Are clean when bought, but like a spoon, fork, etc. they don’t clean themselves, ergo, a sink, water, liquid soap, and the mighty dishwasher. I saw a girl on TikTok find a brush on the floor & started using it. That’s not clean, hygenic, nor safe.
I don’t normally knock products on Meh, but if this is the same as the glossmetics brush cleaner I got from Morning Save, I don’t recommend it. After cleaning only 4 brushes (different sizes) the spindle no longer stayed in the handle, so the brushes kept falling into the bowl. I contacted the manufacturer and they said that as per contracts with their retail partners they are not allowed to interact with their customers. For support question to be resolved I was told to contact the the retailer where I ordered the product. Not sure I trust a company that doesn’t stand behind their products.
Hmm, I just bought this for my partner and then I saw the savage comments on this thread. Maybe I’ll just use it as a cat toy if it turns out to be crap!
Does this clean the brush by spinning it in a jar of water? How does it dry brushes, spinning them in the air, massaging them with the rubber add-ons, or something else?
I don’t use makeup, but I can see the advantage in having a tool that cleans and dries things in thirty seconds. It is only an advantage if it cleans and dries things that I need cleaned and dried.
Not worthy of my Meh draw only good company my other Meh items would be appalled and run them out of the draw.so I’ll save the spin brush the humiliation.
@fibrs86 I would rather wedge bamboo shards into my finger nails and grind the bloody tips on a bed of salt and glass than watch the video behind that thumb nail.

Will this also froth my cappuccino milk, stir my mixed drink, and perhaps later… amuse my wife?

@decoratedwarvet I don’t think there’s a heating element, just another spin cycle.
@djslack-I did read too fast! My Bad! Then throw a pint can of touch-up paint in that sucker! Maybe a pair of baby sneakers, or one at a time is going too far,…whatever!!
I’m confused. How does it work?
@jsh139 you put water and a mild cleaner in the bowl. The little attachments are for different sized brush handles. Put the brush and spin it in the water to remove the makeup, then spin it above the water to dry it.

This looks just like the bowl I keep my beta fish Ralphy in.
@Hanky You should buy one of these and make his life more interesting.
Wow, I’ve seen it all now.
@Stallion- No, wait till 2020!
it’s a shame i don’t need this cuz i like the design
Let me guess. Irk dated Pollack in a previous life?

@Pamela @Woody1 wouldn’t just buying separate brushes be cheaper? Certainly less hassle
@Pamela @unksol @Woody1 I would hope the brushes get cleaned. They can harbor bacteria.
I know some people never ever clean their makeup brushes and that’s just gross.
@Pamela @Woody1-Also, I think they mentioned ridding of bacteria, so it disinfects & or sanitizes the brush hair bristels. That’s good because some make-up contains Fn protien of Bat Dung!! No Lie!!
@Pamela @unksol @Woody1 Good makeup brushes are expensive enough that you want to take care of the ones you have.
Truly, we live in the timeline with the cleanest makeup brushes.

FYI this is the same one Jeffery Star and Laura Lee used that destroyed their brushes.
@gevaertb who?
@gevaertb @unksol- Jeffery Star & Laura Lee.
Jeffree
@decoratedwarvet - Jeffree Star and Laura Lee. I looked them up at TeenVogue. Oooh, the DRAMA!
@gevaertb I went back and watched that video again. $65 for the version they had. I can see why the price has come down. Such a simple item to copy.
More useless garbage (to me anyway ) Maybe really useful for someone though…
@robson- it is for that little fish! Was it Ramsey?
Hmm, I just bought this for my partner and then I saw the savage comments on this thread. Maybe I’ll just use it as a cat toy if it turns out to be crap!
@dcm714 if the comments here are savage… it might actually be an OK product. So no worries.
@dcm714 It’s not too late to cancel your order. I think you get about an hour.
@dcm714 It might work well as a milk frother
@dcm714-I don’t think a cat will fit in the bowl!! I’m just saying!
@dcm714 @decoratedwarvet Sure it will - but you might have to just stuff it down a bit:
Is this what women use in the “powder room”? But why in groups, to share brushes?
Does this clean the brush by spinning it in a jar of water? How does it dry brushes, spinning them in the air, massaging them with the rubber add-ons, or something else?
I don’t use makeup, but I can see the advantage in having a tool that cleans and dries things in thirty seconds. It is only an advantage if it cleans and dries things that I need cleaned and dried.
@hamjudo you’ve got it almost right. The rubber things are to accommodate different sized brush handles.
If it’s real magic, it is worth every penny.
@hafner- yes, if Magic were Real which it isn’t, so back to square one.
I finally logged in just to Meh this.
Great to hear from you, @jofuzz !
This is so stupid I actually read the comments and looked up all the references. Very entertaining. Thanks!
Goldie from Laugh In was the best.
Not worthy of my Meh draw only good company my other Meh items would be appalled and run them out of the draw.so I’ll save the spin brush the humiliation.
Roe and her sister tried this one out. It seemed very rough on the brushes.
@fibrs86 I would rather wedge bamboo shards into my finger nails and grind the bloody tips on a bed of salt and glass than watch the video behind that thumb nail.
@fibrs86 this video was funny. I almost linked it but they were trying to put makeup on with the cleaner running… Uhh, doesn’t work that way.
I do love the led eyelashes. Those are fun.
@RiotDemon I enjoyed all the future meh products. (though it lacked bamboo shards for goldnectar).
Some items are just future e-waste and should be subject to a disposal fee. This is one of them.
I’d like to take this for a spin, but I think I’ll brush this one off, at least this time.
I love the write up!
I’d like to see a video of this thing in action. I’m still not sure what it does.
@dam091 Watch that video a few posts above. Scroll through til you get to this thing. They’re not overly impressed.
@cinoclav it won’t load for me
@dam091 Is YouTube blocked for you? If you can watch it somewhere, the review for this thing starts at 13:23.
@cinoclav turns out I was connected to work Wi-Fi, that blocks YouTube… Never mind.
A really liw priced sous vide
Showed this to my daughter. In for one for her.
Ya’ll talked me into buying my first Meh wine purchase. In for a case. Thank you you!
