@Lynnerizer depends on what you want and your price point. IMO all over the ear headphones at this price point are lackluster.
I don’t really give a lot of advice about headphones because everyone has preferences and listening to music should be about what you like and not what some “expert” tells you to like.
Sometimes searching for advise can steer you in the wrong direction and might keep you away from what you would be the happiest having. I would just recommend going to stores and start listening to everything and buy something you like and then take it back later if you change your mind. My favorite headphone feature at this point is noise canceling because It can drown out most anything. I love walking downtown blocking out the world never knowing if I am about to be hit by a car.
Got a pair of the earlier ones and hate how they sound. Lots of bass / super high frequencies, but they sound kind of hollow in the middle. For actual monitoring while recording, I vastly prefer these $17 delights:
@jakeline BTW, if anyone wants a set of the N500 headphones (), let me know. They’ve literally been sitting in my closet since I bought and tried them, and I’d be happy to send them along if you’re interested.
Wish you had posted a little sooner, I checked here and then ordered. I now have a good looking pair coming, oh well. They will look good hanging on the wall.

I bought the previous one last year with the square-ish style. I know reviews were mixed, as seen here too (mostly just the negatives mentioned here.) But there were positives as well. Personally I thought they were pretty damn good! For the money.
But I do remember when this batch came up, someone posted that these were a different model and not as good. Though they are cheaper. So if you liked the previous ones, not sure if you’ll like these. If you didn’t like the previous ones, almost certainly you won’t like these.
Headphones are subjective and it really depends on the content you are listening to, and also the volume. I have some expensive true electrostatic headphones. They work best with a special amp to drive them. And though they may be amazing for certain things, I have no doubt that in a test given to Meh shoppers, some would say “these sound like crap!” Which is not an insult to Meh shoppers (calm down, folks!) but rather saying that people look for different things in headphones/earbuds/whatever, and what someone thinks works great for them might be “junk” to someone else, regardless of price.
These don’t have noise cancelling or any fancy features, but for pure music listening, these are by far the best sounding headphones I own. Good clean bass, clear mids that don’t overwhelm, and crisp but not harsh highs. Phenomenal sound quality WAY WAY above the absurdly low price point. I’ve I see these again on Meh.com I’m going to stock up. Just cause I can’t believe this super high-fidelity audiophone quality headphone is being sold so cheap. I mean, WOW!!

I like music without static
@medz But its electrostatic. Must be like what the old TVs got;

Got the square wood ones a while back, love them! Buying a set of each for my daughters so they quit stealing mine!

I have a headphone addiction. These are in the middle some where. Okay for the price but not very exciting.
@Num1Zero
With a addiction like that, i’m going to go out on a limb and imagine you might be somewhat of a expert, what would YOU recommend?

I donated my wood ones to Goodwill. Fool me once, shame on me…
@radi0j0hn Fool me twice, you can’t be fooled again. Or whatever.

Hm. Picked up one version; headband was awful, and they developed static (although it seems intermittent, so I may tear down and check wires).
But I really liked what they did in the highs. I have high frequency hearing loss, so a bit of extra distinctness is beneficial.
Plus it’s been a whole day or so since I sent Meh money, so…
It’s “Ass Guard,” right?
@shiranissosexy
@shiranissosexy Better than my answer: “Something to comfort a Thor butt”.

@phendrick @shiranissosexy
That’s pretty good!
Bought these last time they were up. Meh is perhaps the most appropriate place they can be found. I found them to be just “meh.”
Hybrid Electrostatic = not Electrostatic
Thank you shiranissosexy.
I had no idea if this punch line and it was going to bug me.
I didn’t fall for these the last time, and won’t this time too.

If these are anything like the previous verisonix meh sold at $49 then I’m stoked! They sound better than my Marantz studio monitors.
How long does it take to ship the damn thing? It has been almost 2 weeks! Still stuck in “Processing”. I hope they don’t need to manufacture it first!
@Waynema
Mine are still stuck in processing as well.
