@MrNews
If so, it was a manager’s special; nothing currently available there is even remotely close to that cheap, and this brand is not in their inventory.
That said, non-prescription sunglasses in general tend to be ludicrously overpriced. And as for the prescription ones, they’re every bit as much of a blatant ripoff as the regular glasses.
@MrNews@werehatrack I’ve never seen a 3-pack of sunglasses sold at Costco. Ever. I think Mr News missed the facts here, maybe a 3-pack of “readers” and sometimes in Summer come in tinted versions for outdoor reading.
Sunglasses like the Kirkland-brand and sometimes Nike or Puma are seasonally in 1 packs on the shelf or display area. NEVER 3. And not near the books where the 3-pack readers are sold for $16-24.
“Designer” brands like this are usually sold in the optical department in a glass display case, and you ask for what you want and they bring it out for you. ONE of them, not THREE, and probably not $16. With all due respect, I would not want get my News from Mr News.
I can’t believe that Vera Wang doesn’t license through Luxxotica. Looks like Kenmark does the design and distribution. That being said, anybody know where they are manufactured?
@Kyeh@pmarin@werehatrack I don’t think Maui Jim kills anybody. Sunglasses are manufactured in all sorts of countries. Vuarnet in France, Persol in Italy, Vinylize in Hungary, etc… 95% of glasses/sunglasses are manufactured in a Luxxotica facility. These may be too, as it looks like they handle design and distribution, but outsource the manufacturing. Luxxotica has manufacturing facilities in a lot of different countries besides China.

Nice Wang!
I’m a sucker for sunglasses!
/giphy exalted-thoughtful-rooftop
@sillyheathen, if you’re a male & plan to wear these then you’re just a sucker.
Ass wipes yesterday, wang glasses today. I shall be kool.
@phendrick, using KN95 masks for toilet paper is a bit expensive, butt to each their own.
I prefer to keep Wangs Vera far away from my face, thanks.
At this price, you’re really getting the best wang for your buck.
/giphy har har
@awk They already had the bang for a buck sale a few weeks ago.
Iliana has a seductive gradient? Oh my.
@Kidsandliz I thought the Iliana in garnet to be very chic…
/giphy delectable-singing-greenery
Just for the Wang references…
Hey Darla, how my acetate?
@alacrity
These make shitty margaritas. But at least you’ll look good making shitty margaritas wearing these.
I don’t wear sunglasses at night.
@hchavers that’s a bummer. Now you can’t watch me weave and breathe my storylines.
these will look better on your face than the ones drawn on with a sharpie when you passed out at the frat party in college.
Well worth at least $3 a pair. $29 (+ shipping) is a colossal waste of dinero. I think I saw a THREE-PACK of these at Costco for $16 (+ tax)…

@j37hr0 Let me take a wild guess. It starts with a C and ends with an A, and is not Canada.
@j37hr0 @pmarin California?
@j37hr0 @pmarin Huh - I got curious and looked up Kenmark. I still couldn’t tell for sure, but they might be manufactured here in the US?

@j37hr0 @Kyeh @pmarin Making shit in the US is reserved for things that kill people, preferably lots of them all at the same time.

I’m waiting for $29 Maui Jims
The last 2 items I’ve bought through meh have been cancelled. Pretty disappointing.
