@jayman007@kyeh She had a flood in her condo and hasn’t taken it out of the box to use yet-sorry.
I bought another one meh was selling and it worked well and was quiet as long as I didn’t turn it up to the highest speed.
The thing you have to be mindful of is the what size room is it designed for. Just bought a couple a fairly
pricey ones directly from Blueair at 60% off ($ 300+ down from $ 800) but their coverage is large room (600+ sq feet) but with a bird I need that.
Also have to be mindful of whether replacement filters are available (always an issue with discontinued items on meh), but I checked before I ordered it for my daughter.
Ugh! That’s happened to my mother and also to a late friend of mine - his was really bad because it came from two floors up and nobody was home in any of the units for several weeks (a lot of people there with two residences.)
@jhenry Ugh, tell me about it. I cleaned the shelf as well as i could, but the shelf has a lazy Susan for pots and pans, so I can’t see under the whole thing to make sure I got all the liquid wiped up, and I’m not sure how much seeped into the wood of the shelf. I’m kind of afraid to open it again.
Seems to work pretty well. Removes a lot of stuff from the air in my bedroom and is pretty quiet. Mine is located next to the bed and even on high speed it is quieter than a typical table fan.
Mine started blinking for a filter change after about a month and a half. Shorter than they indicated in the manual, but I have two cats so… filters are fairly easy to come by - look for ones compatable with Levoit LV-H128 if you can’t find any that mention this model specifically. About $9 per pair seems to be average (you need two of them for a complete filter change).
