Also stupid (how this video ends with that disclaimer) is mixing something in an aluminum pan when aluminum is the catalyst. Just ask my brother about that. Over 200 pieces of phosphorous were removed from his eyes (fortunately in the end he was OK). But I did like how he created and put a smoke bomb in the school ventilating system on the last day of school so we got out early. And blowing up sand castles (using long fuses) was also fun. Not sure my parents knew what all he was up to. Of course then later he decided to get a degree in chemistry so his junior high and high school “experience” paid off.
@Kidsandliz had a friend in high school that was into chemistry but also blowing up things. Apparently he also got to be the chemistry lab assistant and had the key to the locked chemistry storage room. Don’t know what happened to him after high school but always wondered if he’d survived that.
