I bought the Case Logic bag off of MorningSave in advance of a trip a couple months ago and it served me well. It’s got lots of large pockets inside and the pockets on the front that zipped open and shut were very convenient and roomier than you might expect.
My son has a chromebook because he keeps breaking laptops. I think it would fit in the smaller one. I’m just not sure if he would actually use it. Decisions…
The sad fashion footwear choice of that guy with the Thule case left me no choice but to buy the Case Logic. Soft and flexible vs hard and unyeilding …

Can’t vouch for Thule, or this particular Case Logic. Bought a Case Logic in Feb. 2010 according to amazon, that treated my laptop very well. No complaints.
I love my Thule backpack that I got here at Meh. No real use for a 13" laptop case, but I was tempted anyway just because of how low the price is.
That is, until I read these reviews on Amazon:
Unbearable!
Aside from the bag being bulky and unattractive, the smell upon taking it out of the box is unbearable (as other reviewers have mentioned). It’s a toxic-smelling chemical odor that fills the room and burns the back of my throat. I just received my bag today, and it is airing out in another room. If the smell does not dissipate within a day or two, then I will have to return it. On the plus side, the bag does appear sturdily made. However, the health risks of inhaling these fumes are not worth it.
This bag really stinks.
As noted by another reviewer, this version of Thule’s bag, while beautiful and extremely well-designed, is unusable out of the bag. The odor of the materials preservative (or the internal foam) used by Thule is off the charts. I’m not just disgusted by the smell (which resembles a noxious blend of strong cigar smoke and industrial chemical solvents), I’m disgusted that any manufacturer thinks this sort of thing is remotely acceptable. The factory should lay these out in a wind tunnel before shipping.
If you, like me, figured the bad smell claim could be mitigated or remedied by a simple airing out, don’t kid yourself. It won’t go away unless you take extreme measures. I’ve had mine under a high-powered fan (with every panel propped open) for about 24 straight hours, and it does seem to be improving. I’ll give it another night before deciding to send it back. I hope it gets down to acceptable levels, as the bag itself ticks all the right boxes (and is a five-star item) otherwise.
UPDATE: After sitting open under a fan for three straight days, I zipped the bag up for 30 minutes and then opened it. The stink was as loud as ever. This bag is 100% unusable to me, ruined by the dumbest oversight ever. Sellers should take a whiff of these and then take a pass on them and send them back to Thule for a stock refund. The smell is just that bad.
Bag ok, but O it STINKS! Unacceptable!!
The bag itself is fine, but it is simply unacceptable for any manufacturer of consumer products to sell a product that smells this offensive. SHAME and quite rediculous! I am going to dunk the whole thing in some detergent mixture to see if that takes care of the smell.
Other reviewers say they got ones that don’t stink. But I can’t help wonder if that’s why Meh has them for so cheap. Can anyone at Meh confirm whether or not these have an odor?

@medz your Thule script needs a new joke.
@hchavers could have Thuled me
@medz @hchavers it’s pronounced TOOL-eee.
@hchavers @Joedetroit
I called the company. It’s actually: Thuh-Lay
@hchavers @Joedetroit @medz No one pronounces it Thuh-Lay.
It was bugging me so I called them also & the recording said tool-ee & the CS rep said tool-ee.
All these & more say it Tool-ee:

But truly as long one does not say thool (rhymes with tool) I don’t care. Actually screw it, say it how you want. That’s fine too.

I don’t have my shit together enough for today’s deal.
@punkynpye don’t worry, you will one day. i believe in you!!!

They show the outside and inside of the small Thule case. Does that mean Case Logic only has good looks?
Got me two days in row. Throw that Thule this thway.

Two white cats mean no black fabric exteriors for me.
Under $20 for a bag is always a good deal.
Well done, Meh.
What are these, cases for ant laptops?
@Spheyr If you have six legs, do you have three laps?
@Spheyr Just think of the 13" one as an extra-roomy, reinforced case with shoulder strap for your iPad Pro.

The Case Logic bag is bleh, but that Thule has potential…
In for one to keep my beloved Yoga secure. Might end up covered in cringy, attention seeking stickers, too!

@AdmiralDave For once Giphy hits it out of the park.

@stolicat are these shoes better? They seem similar.
@RiotDemon That was just the best thing giphy was able produce.
@stolicat I think the tight jeans are the issue. Not the right kind of boots for boot cut jeans.
Nice try, Thule Society…
You would look like a Tool-Y walking around with that bag…
@Bumplepimp Yea, my first thought when looking it it. Those are some big ol toolee letters there.
Just in time for Recon

Anyone else think it’s a terrible idea to operate a laptop inside the bag? Because, you know, heat?

@The_Tim Great joke described as a question.
Woah, flashback. I haven’t thought of Case Logic since I bought my last CD carrier sometime in the '90s.
