We actually use our throw pillows… but we have a couch that’s known for squishing and letting you sink in too far. The pillows are like small life boats in a sea of couch.
@Thumperchick I have a couple dozen throw pillows for various furniture. Most of them are useful. I use the throw pillows on my sofa, one for lumbar support and the half dozen usually stacked beside the sofa when company’s coming to hide the wear and tear my sofa and love seat have suffered over the years. I replaced the sofa and love seat once but the new set was too soft so I sold it and recovered my beaten up old ones. I use the big throw pillows on the sofa in the bedroom and on the outdoor swing to pad the arm and make it comfortable to lean on with a cup of tea and a good book.
I’m married to a “Throw Pillow Person”.
…sigh…
After being married 30+ yrs to a woman that arranges damn pillows everywhere, I’ve given up.
Useless pillows on the damn bed.
Useless pillows on the damn couch.
…bonus item: Our Sheltie does love sleeping on one of the pillows, though I have no idea how she balances on that thing.
Also, I actually threw one at her cat that was scratching up the furniture. She said that throw pillows are not to be thrown. damn.
“Fill your house with dumb crap that’s in everybody’s way if that’s what you’re into”…
Sure, just tell me when the next fuku is.
I love this video. Facebook reminded me yesterday that I shared this video a year ago, so I just watched it a few hours ago.
Do repeats always show up right around the year mark? Otherwise, I’m feeling trolled.
@RiotDemon irk always trolls
Irk’s voice seemed off, or is it just me?
@caffeine_dude I agree. Sounded like crap.
@caffeine_dude would you say you were irk’d by Irk’s voice?
True enough, but that’s the sort of crap you make a living on, so maybe it shouldn’t bother you at all. BTW, the boats are targets to improve aim.
@Eskieguy I use thin fishing line to secure the boats to the rim. This way, you can leave them in and they don’t go down the drain when you flush.

@Thumperchick OK, but why did you name them?
This is my all time favorite! As someone who makes custom throw pillows, I’ve often wondered the same thing but not with such clever or funny wording.
LPT: if there are more pillows and places to sit on a sofa, a woman lives in the house. Ask for a coaster and put the lid down to ensure acceptance.

Not one mention of the name. Why are they THROW pillows???
I think they were invented by Henry David Throw
