Poor baby. I’ve read some sad stories of pets who died in the cargo hold of planes. The only way I’d put a pet in a cargo hold of a plane is if I was moving overseas and couldn’t find a ship to travel on.
That was set to be one big bunny. “Simon was the son of Darius, the world’s largest rabbit (Picture: Caters)”
@moondrake there are some airlines that have special pet cargo holds. I think it started because a lot of pets were dying in the regular cargo holds because of the temperature fluctuations. I’ll have to do some more research.
Wow, the Bunny’s bunny got killed. Yahoo totally blew this headline. Maybe the NY Post of the Sun will redeem the industry.

@moondrake lots of airlines allow at least cats/small dogs in the cabin:

@Pantheist a 30" rabbit is not small though. On the upside you can be pretty sure he has brothers and sisters. Hope she had insurance.
@cranky1950 I was saying for @moondrake, not for the dead giant rabbit.

@RiotDemon I don’t know why, but I think it’s even sadder that pets die from temperatures on the tarmac than in the plane.
@Pantheist My animals are always huge.
Dammit.
Simon couldda been a contenda.
Sad…
I just got an apology email from the CEO of United (really). No mention of the DOA rabbit in question.
