This was an... Interesting weekend.
20Okay, so… this weekend I ended up finally coming out of the closet to my parents. It ended up happening after I punched my brother in the face after calling me the F-slur, and I accidentally let it slip that I was bisexual. So, my parents and had a conversation, and it ended up going well. So, now they know, and I feel a lot better.

Still feels like this with my parents.

I hope you made your brother bleed.
@kittykat9180 Sadly, no.
I do plan on doing it though >:D
Congrats. Hopefully opening up to your parents will allow you to build closer bonds with them as you go forward.
Interesting indeed. Hope the conversation continues in a positive way.
Congratulations. I know how difficult it is. And sometimes people are actually pleasantly surprised. And sometimes sadly they are not. I had a friend a few years ago who came out on National Coming Out day after I talk to her into it but her parents were in the what took you so long category. They don’t approve what they don’t disapprove they’re kind of weird.
That’s great! I’m glad they were able to accept your truth.
There’s nothing more important than family, even that pesty brother, someday I hope you’ll be best buds!

You must feel wonderful not being burdened with such a heavy secret. Congratulations!
It took me 65 years to finally come out of the closet officially, but when I officially did, I got a lot of responses along the lines of “took you long enough.”
Congrats, I am sure a huge burden was lifted. Hope you feel lighter and more confidant!
Congratulations!
Really glad it went well with your parents. And now you’ve taken the power out of your brother’s taunts, good for you.

Well I’m sorry your brother is an insecure tosser but I’m glad your parents are okay with it. And that must be a massive weight off your chest. All the hugs!
