Merry Christmas from Fenris and Mactoy! Fen in particular has been inflated in the living room for every Christmas day since he came to live with me in 2010.
@cengland0 lmfao I was going going to ask if that was a 2010 pic and we were going to see them all. Then that was it. On a good day I can carry the 32 inch but it belongs in a landfill.
@cengland0 Sony Trinitron KV-20FS100, one of many CRTs that inhabit this house/TV museum. The largest is my Trinitron KV-40XBR800! I’m a TV repairman by trade, so they often follow me home. Whether it’s CRT, DLP, plasma, or LCD, they’re all represented here.
@cengland0@unksol Time for what? My CRTs aren’t going anywhere! Beyond me being a vintage and antique TV collector, they are also still the superior choice for retro gaming, as far as screen resolution and refresh rate.
@cengland0@PooltoyWolf I’m no TV repairman, but I did manage to successfully replace the optical block in my 55" Sony LCD rear projection TV back in the day. Sometimes a good balance of OCD and stubbornness pays dividends
@capnjb@cengland0 Oh those are fun repairs haha. I’m fixing to replace the LED driver in our 61" Samsung LED DLP rear projector, have been putting that one off because I rather like the picture on the stand-in Samsung plasma!
Merry belated Christmas! I hope your day was filled with air (& all other good things!) All the best for the year ahead to all of you!
@ircon96 Thank you
LOVE IT! And a belated Merry Christmas to Fenris, Mactoy and YOU too! Hope your day was blowup beautiful!
@Lynnerizer It was a fun family Christmas with movies, gifts, and turkey, and of course big blow up hugs
Is that a real CRT TV or Monitor I see in the foreground? That belongs in a museum.
@cengland0 My folks still have a 40" Mitsubishi CRT TV. It’s a 4-person job to move it.

@cengland0 @PooltoyWolf the Trinitron were pretty good but it may be time
