Think you’ve had a tough year
I’m probably just a sucker for a sad story. I was browsing the interwebs (aka procrastinating) tonight and came across this on imgur. I don’t know if it’s real but nonetheless it was pretty touching so I thought I’d share it.

You are very kindhearted…makes you keep in mind, you cannot tell what has gone wrong in someone else’s life just by looking at them.
Appears to be real. At least she got an understanding judge. Not much, but it’s something.
@Pantheist yeah…something indicated this was from RI (original didn’t display Providence) and I recognized the street names so I didn’t bother checking to see if it was real… Not sure if I am glad it is not a hoax?
I’ve watched many of that particular Judge’s cases and he dismisses a bunch of cases. Maybe only those particular ones make it to Youtube so it seems like a lot or he really does dismiss a large percentage.
@cengland0 Good for him, at least in this case. I think metered parking for access to government institutions is just morally reprehensible. No one should have to pay for access to government offices.
@moondrake Yeah around here you need to go to social security. Good luck with that. Parking is a max of an hour and so you get to risk losing your place in the (long) line to put money in the meter or risk a ticket (actually not risk, a sure bet). Sucks.
