There are two u's in vacuum song
2Today’s deal reminded me of one of the woot! songs that was posted with vacuums from time to time, called something like “There are two u’s in vacuum” or something similar. I can’t find a recording of that song, does anyone know if a copy exists somewhere that I can give a listen to?
Related: that’d be a great youtube channel/short run podcast, just random old woot songs.

I couldn’t find the actual song, but I found:
Wootcast for 4/3/2009: "Vacuum Your Room"
Probably ain’t it tho.

@medz the vocals reminds me of
I bet I have the world’s most extensive collection of old Wootcasts. I don’t remember one like that! But there are probably lots of them I don’t remember. It sounds like the sort of thing that could have been one. Specific ones are impossible to search for, except sometimes by date, which isn’t much use.

So You Got That Goin’ For You, Which is Nice
@therealjrn I collect marbles. I keep them in a jar. I have a matching jar that is full of red and yellow fallout shelter hard candy.
@Barney Apparently, I collect shipping and packing boxes. I need to work on breaking them down as they enter my home. That goes double for boxes from Aldi, Sam’s and Costco.
Boxes enter my house–they never leave.
@Barney Any of them that violetesque shade you prefer? I’m the same with boxes, and that isn’t sustainable with a 1 BR apartment when you like deals as much as I do. I try to keep my flow going by purging the unloved (and oft less than half loved) treasure on eBay (15%!!!) or Craigslist/LetGo/OfferUp (home of the No-Show Sketchy Lowballers) with varying success. Do you do the same? If so, any tips? May the Purp be with you!
@margot I’m not @Barney, but I do have some experience selling some stuff on eBay. I’ve been out of it for awhile now, but I found collectibles sell pretty well. I dealt generally in regional sports things…like bobble-heads…game-day giveaways…stuff like that.
Sure enough, I didn’t get rich, but for popcorn money it wasn’t all bad.
That’s part of my problem with boxes–I hate to throw out free shipping material.
I have tried household goods type selling–it’s a little tougher. I’m not saying it isn’t worth it, I’m just saying I’m not doing it right now.
Are any of those apps any kind of useful for selling?
@margot Nope, never sold stuff on eBay or any of those things. Maybe that’s why I’m drowning in boxes of crap?
