The world was (probably) once PURPLE!
10Before chlorophyll became a thing, scientists now believe that the world was dominated by organisms called haloarchaea that had a purple membrane for a different kind of photosynthesis.
I guess @barney and I are just old souls.

Yesterday, I was driving through Marion, Iowa, and I saw a beautifully restored mid ‘60s mustang that was painted a deep metallic flake purple. When I saw it, I thought, I bet Barney would like that.
