Remember that time when @mfladd sent us a some SeaMonkeys? I finally remembered to put them together and thought I'd share the results.

Step 1: fill it with water? Check.

Uh, I already messed up because I didn't read the instructions and put cold water in the tank. I then dumped it out and put room temp water in there and added the water purifier packet.

There's a lot of little things floating in there... doesn't seem very pure to me, but what do I know? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

In 24 hours we can add the eggs. For now, we wait.

I had sea monkeys once and they were cute and I loved them then my brother picked up the tank to look at them as he was sitting there and ended up dumping them on his lap....all those suffocating seamonkeys ....... sea monkeys make me sad now.....

- @hollboll Thank you for avoiding the obvious seamen joke here. Also, DO NOT PICK UP THE CONTAINER TO EXAMINE YOUR SEAMONKEYS! Move your body not the container....You cannot pick up seamonkeys off of cloth/carpet without horror...so much sea monkey horror...

Day 2

Today I added the eggs to the water.

There was leftover mystery "water purifier" bits left over from yesterday that did not dissolve or disappear.

According to the instructions, I need to add the eggs get sparkles and put it behind a wall so no sun can get to it. I poked around online and think I'm supposed to put it by a window but not in direct sunlight. For the time being, I'll leave it in the "safe" care of @denboy.

Now we wait.

Sorry or the delay, we got a lot of emails over the weekend and yesterday so I'm currently fighting my way out of those.

I fed them today, will send an update hopefully tomorrow! I think they're alive... But I really have no idea what I'm looking for here.

Coincidentally, I had bought a sea monkeys kit myself for a video the same week as @hollboll got hers, but mine all hatched and then turned into a big gross loogie so it's probably for the best that I was absent.

Sorry for the delay! We were pretty busy last week but I was also trying to give the sea monkeys extra time to hatch. But alas, no luck. :(

I'm 75% sure that I'm 95% sure that there is no life in the sea monkey tank. I'm going to give them some more time but so far NONE have hatched.
