The portmanteau food game
7With all this talk of the Whopperitto, I was thinking: wouldn’t it be fun to come up with all the portmanteau foods (real or imagined) we can? Probably not. But what the hell?
I’ll start with The Turdunkin – A turkey stuffed with a dozen assorted doughnuts. It’ll be all the rage this Thanksgiving!

How about a Doughfurky. A tube of Pillsbury chocolate chip cookie dough formed to look like a turkey (but still not vegan…)

A hot dog and burger combined.

@ELUNO These hamburger hotdog things already exist with an even better twist…bacon. Pack hamburger all around your hotdog…wrap in bacon and use string to hold in place…grill that thing…need I say more!!!

@thismyusername Ah, yes, now I remember. It’s just that someone in that commercial always takes my attention off the burger for some reason.

@ELUNO One cookout I got creative and made bacon cheeseburger dogs. Take a stick of cheese, form hamburger meat around it, then wrap in bacon. Grill and eat on a hot dog bun. That’s a different way to combine a burger and a hot dog.
@djslack @sweetjoey I’ll be grilling tomorrow and I might follow some of these!
@djslack @ELUNO could also do a spiral dog… then unwind it and add in hamburger… then it would be a hamburger dog that would also fit on a hot dog bun… and bacon to hold it together of course…
