@PooltoyWolf “Real Georgia”. I was in Georgia (Atlanta area and CAU campus) several times over several years in the mid 90’s (including about a month after the Olympics and the bombing there). It definitely had the “Old Georgia” feel at that time. I think it has changed some though, from what I’ve heard.
@phendrick@PooltoyWolf IMLE, Georgia in general is considerably different today than it was in the '70s. I have no recollection of Atlanta prior to about 1987, but it seems to have changed much less than the rest of the state - and this is very much of a good thing, as the rest was much in need of some changes.
@phendrick My friend lived in Duluth, now Lawrenceville. They’re rather scenic areas in my opinion, plus Duluth has a big railroad mainline that’s pretty busy, and a really nice railroad museum!
I thought Lodi was in California, not New Georgia.
@phendrick Lodi was a neat little town. Best friend used to live there (before ironically moving to real Georgia).
@phendrick @PooltoyWolf was?
@Cerridwyn @phendrick @PooltoyWolf wondering what his friend did to Lodi to make it no longer a neat little town?
@OnionSoup More like what John Fogerty did to it: Wrote a song and used Lodi because he liked how it sounded.
@Cerridwyn @OnionSoup @phendrick LMAO I meant that it was nice at the time I visited!

Thanks for the video. I always liked that song but hadn’t seen that clip.

“Loding” ?
The Atlantic crossing bit would account for the time delay, since Loding it is in Paris.
That image seems to have a LOADING problem so here’s another:
I love RDR2
@medz I always parse that as R2-D2.
@blaineg @medz Same.
