Wow, that’s quite the story! @Felton and @cengland0, you might find it interesting.
We know it’s not our @Carl669 because he’s not a “Karl.” And his real name is also not Carl or Karl, or so he claims.
@carl669 They used to be. But I too heard they no longer are and have been replaced by drones from both China (in Eastern US) and Iran (in the North).
The ones on the West coast are all left over movie props.
Notice that the Defense Dept has been mum about shooting any down.
@carl669@phendrick Down here in Texas, opinions are split as to whether they’re all a bunch of illegals from across the border, or a gubbermint takeover force in disguise. I am moderately surprised that nobody seems to have yet advanced the opinion that both could be true. I’m sure that there are people to whom that revelation would be attractive. Some of us, however, continue to put out bird feed. It seems terribly unlikely that drones can be powered by it. Aside from which, the nature of the decorations deposited upon our vehicles has not changed, and I do not believe that the drone technology has improved enough to accurately mimic that particular part of the natural world’s operation.
@werehatrack Looked at eBay, couldn’t find any (not even home/amateur version, even refurb). Some of my neighbors are pissed about noise from A’zon delivery drones. [Not sure Jeff would let that slide, though.]

@Kyeh to confirm, i am not the carl of karlgate. i may or may not be the carl of carl either.
@carl669 “the carl of carl” - is that like the Duke of Earl?
@carl669 @Kyeh Could you perhaps be the Ying of Yang?
KuoH
I love birds.
My latest photo is a gosling with it’s mother enjoying the pretty flowers.
@cengland0 Sweet! Is that near where you live?
@Kyeh yes, saw them on my way to the bank.
@cengland0 @Kyeh East bank or west bank? (Or, Near bank or far bank?)

Bird lovers - a study done in Japan shows that birds communicate with “bird words”!

are birds even real? because I heard they weren’t and now I’m questioning everything.

@phendrick @werehatrack so the takeaway here is, if drones start eating bird feed, we’re in a heap of trouble.
@carl669 @werehatrack At least they were still real in '63, even in Spanish.
@phendrick DoD is silent about takedowns, but these people aren’t.

@phendrick I think your neighbors may be drawing conclusions in an absence of properly gathered data.
