Hell yeah, let’s hear it for people that live in Michigan. The land of lakes. I’m not far from Detroit, WAterford area myself. Where there’s no such thing as a block bc there’s a lake around every corner.
Erie is the shallowest and freezes over more quickly unless it’s early winter and a clipper comes through and creates one of a handful places on EARTH dropping Lake Effect snow!
@Lisa102503 I grew up in that snow belt. Shoveled tons of it, learned to drive in it, did bumper hitching in it, discovered riding your bike to school in it isn’t so wise (lived nearly a mile from school) when there is a red light at the bottom of the hill to ride your bike to school in it… went x-c skiing down the street, snowmen, snow forts, sleeping in an igloo we made out of plowed parking lot snow next door (in retrospect I am surprised my parents let us do that), snow ball fights… The only trouble was there was too many months of it.
@Lisa102503 Lake effect snow? Michigan is usually completely covered in lake effect snow. It’s not just Lake Erie. I think all the Great Lakes produce it.
A classic, especially for those of us from the upper midwest. Glad to see the repeat!
@stolicat Still one of the top 3 reasons for my daily Meh visit!
Love it!
Living in Michigan…I can watch this all day. Thanks for posting again.
@densa Michigan or the stolen lands known as the Upper Peninsula?
@yakkoTDI I’m a Troll…near Detroit.
