The decision, the donation, and apologies
12I know I'm not very welcome here anymore, and I am very sorry about what I did on Woot. I said I'd let people know what I decided to do with my old receiver, though, so I'm holding to that.
I've decided to donate both the vacuum I was mistakenly sent and my old Onkyo to a local charity called "Brent's Place.". Brent's Place offers temporary housing to families of children being treated for serious illnesses at Children's Hospital- when the families have to travel great distances in order for the kids to get specialized treatment. Many of the children have compromised immune systems, and I figure the UV function of the vacuum will help in maintaining a sterile environment. The receiver can be set up in one of their entertainment areas for the kids and their families to enjoy.
Anyway, that's what I've decided. Again, I'm very sorry about what I did, and for all of the drama that resulted from it. There is no excuse. Yes, things have been very stressful for me lately, but that neither explains or excuses my behavior, which I deeply regret.
I'm not making these donations to make up for it, either, for I always intended to donate my old receiver to someone or something from the moment I won the Onkyo... so please don't see this as an attempt to make things right. I honestly don't know how I can make it right, but would do whatever it took if I could.

Before there is any more conflict here
Be positive, honest and fun. We like those things. That will put this nonsense way behind us. Thanks for the update on the donations. Sounds like a good cause.
DRAMA BOMB HAS BEEN DROPPED
JAY KAY
I didn't even think you made that big a splash about that onkyo receiver you must be refering to something I didn't notice
@sp3ar TL;DR:
Given the mass amount of deception and attention-seeking from this individual, under their numerous identities, i'm shocked that anybody is dumb enough to take this at face value. "Fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice, shame on me."
@Starblind How do we know that you're not one of these identities!? [dramatic music]
@DrunkCat
should have just locked this thread after the initial post.
@marklog I concur, @jont, @shawn ?? Otherwise we might have to post more llama gifs over the weekend!!
@marklog Yup.
@mikibell
@mikey scary... what is that???
@mikibell Pretty sure it's a shaved bear with some straw stuck to his butt.
@mikey poor thing...creatures should be allowed some dignity...
@mikey @mikibell how embearassing
No more please. Just let it get locked down. @JonT
Not so sure locking stuff down all the time furthers the mission here.
fo·rum
ˈfôrəm
noun
1. a place, meeting, or medium where ideas and views on a particular issue can be exchanged.
2. a court or tribunal.
I really don't want to have to lock a topic because of the user that created it. That's basically saying that they aren't welcome to participate in our community, and at that point a ban is probably the better idea.
I'm hoping that people can at the very least be civil. I think everything that needed to be said was pretty much said in the last topic, and all I ask is that people don't antagonize or prod further.
Let's move on together and have some fun, after all…
Agree with enjoying yourself. It is the reason I come here.
I am done with all of this. I hope you all can be too.
@mfladd That scene is the exact place my nickname came from. My mom must have said it a few thousand times before it sunk in. Then I tattoo'd it to make sure it stuck.
@Thumperchick @mfladd
I still love it, and it is absolutely adorable, but to this day Thumper's double negative irks me terribly :D
@Thumperchick Your sounds like a wise woman. That is a great tattoo. Pics? I know we can't be nice all the time, but I try.
@Thumperchick But with the name of T-humperchick, I thought it would have come from something very, very different.
@Thumperchick your "mom" sounds - thinking faster than I type again.
@mfladd This looks to be the best pic I have of it, for some reason. The other tat in this one is about 70% done.
@Thumperchick very nice. Help me with the Chinese characters - I see something Strength top left. Tranquility - bottom left. not sure about the right characters. Am I close? Love Thumper!
@mfladd Ah, none of the above. The characters are family names. Toi, Lee, Ho, Fut. (The 4 families of Kung Fu San Soo.)
@Thumperchick I know I have at least one part right.
strength
Are you a martial artist?
@mfladd It may be similar, hell the family may even have included that in their name symbol - but I know these and know where they came from and what they are.
Kung Fu San Soo was a big part of my life growing up. I wouldn't call myself a current martial artist, but it did teach me a lot and help weave the fabric of who I grew up to be.
@Thumperchick you go girl. just looked it up. parents practice?
@mfladd my dad is a Master. He's Dad & Sifu.
@Thumperchick now I see where your strength comes from. I had to look up sifu. Thank you for sharing with me. :)
@Thumperchick I only knew strength because I have it tattooed. Very small. Tranquility, wisdom, strength. I call it a wish list.
Sigh...
Thanks so much for reaffirming the stuff you've said dozens of times, please keep posting about it...actually, er, um...no, wait. Not again.
It's not even worth it. Don't you put that evil on me again!
@Pavlov Really, you had to bring the BC into this? Screws do fall out all the time.
p.s. thanks for the laugh :)
Can I get a recap of what the hell this is all about?
Forget it, @JerseyFrank, it's Chinatown.
@editorkid great reference!
@mfladd My reference is great too :(
You ever have one of those days, you know, that you were wound rather tightly. This was my day. I watched that train wreck of a thread last time and tried to interject some humor. Then @Thumperchick so eloquently stated it was over, everyone move on.
Then this appeared. I had no dog in this fight. Hell, I didn't even know what happened until it was explained in the last thread. But, enough was enough, with this bullshit. Usually, I just sit on the sidelines of online conflict now. I have enough in my real life and just come here to have fun. I understand that it is a forum and people can say whatever they want but this one was played OUT.
Anyway. no apologies, but just thanks for giving me some space with this one. :)
This shit again? Nope.
@xarous exactly.
@xarous
You won a onkyo? Congrats! I was wondering who won that thing...
I wonder if Brent's Place would enjoy a newer Onkyo Receiver? (((maniacal laugh)))
I always admire the balls of people who star their own comments. Since I don't know everybody's name, maybe she did it more than once.
@OldCatLady i always star my own comments...have done so since day 1. :)
@studerc Not this one ;)
@eulestadt Well now you just look silly.
@pitamuffin Not the one that he posted before; it was 0 stars before I starred it :P.
Sorry; English is my second language.
@eulestadt
Circa, good to hear a donation was still made regardless of which Onkyo it was.
folks, we're all well into adulthood to know how to conduct ourselves. We all make mistakes at times and we learn and either forgive or ask for forgiveness and heal from these mistakes.
So let's just go forward and all have a wonderful weekend and buy whatever shows up here later on tonight
@stryper2000 even if speaker dock?
@thismyusername It won't be Friday's product, so no speaker docks.
@stryper2000 I believe Alex Lifeson said it best while acknowledging Rush's introduction into the R&R HoF...
@jqubed That's right it is knives... perhaps in this case not to be used as the final photo shows...

@lisaviolet Ahhhhh, another classic!
