@mfladd Many great songs here, but this one was a big part of the soundtrack of the late 60’s/early 70’s (along with Magic Carpet Ride.)
/youtube Steppenwolf Magic Carpet Ride
I chose Steppenwolf’s because years and years ago I put up this video of my son playing, and for some reason, I chose that sound for the background music. When youtube started cracking down on music in videos, I got a notice saying they’d detected it and whoever makes those decisions decided to let me keep the video up rather than taking it down like so many others.
Pretty difficult for a hipster doofus like me to choose between Iggy Pop, Lou Reed, and Talking Heads. As much as I love Iggy and Lou, “Wild, Wild, Life” is the best song on the list.
Wild Wild West by Will Smith. Obviously.
@RuralNinja
For good measure.
Hello… Wildfire by Michael Martin Murphey, always made me cry…

Nick Cave and the Bad Seed Where the wild roses grow
I’m surprised by how few songs I have on my hd with “wild” in the name
/youtube descendents ride the wild
What the hell? So many songs with “wild” in the titles and I haven’t heard any of them. While there are HUNDREDS awesome “WILD” songs!
That’s not technically true I guess - I heard the Skid Row song. But my point is still valid.
And perhaps the most famous of them all.
And even Black Sabbath had a killer “wild” song! Wish they re-invited Tony Martin to sing with them instead of that ozzy idiot.
And what about The Dubliners??? Doesn’t anybody know Irish folk music? Come on people, it’s awesome.
Too many close calls to pick one.
@RedOak You are right. I went with Steppenwolf, but there were a number of them I loved. Especially…
For shame, no Moody Blues?
Your Wildest Dreams
@coren That was my pick too!
@coren @kc5rbq Same
@Al_Coholic I was just gonna post that.
“Wild Age” by Warren Zevon
Speaking of “wild innings”, WASP’s lead singer Blackie Lawless played some minor league ball.
/youtube WASP Wild Child
/youtube the pogues wild rover
/youtube circle jerks wild in the streets
Cigareets and Whusky and Wild Wild Women
I picked…
My honorable mention…
For dear old grandpappy.
/youtube the cramps wilder wilder faster faster
/youtube Electric Light Orchestra Wild West Hero
/youtube Electric Light Orchestra - Loser Gone Wild
is also good
/youtube Nightwish - Last of the Wilds
is an instrumental but still better than anything in the poll.
Also, Moody Blues - Your Wildest Dreams,
as @coren and @Al_Coholic already mentioned.
Little Wild One - The Wonders
Wild Horses by Bishop.
Motley Crue - Wild Side

"Wild child"by the doors!!!

Hank Thompson - The Wild Side of Life
I can’t believe “Wild Side” by Mötley Crüe wasn’t even an option!!!
