There was a made for HBO movie in the late 90s, I think it was "Barbarians at the Gate". It was about the leveraged buyouts, starred James Garner and had a great subplot about the first e cigs and how awful they were.
Can't believe I voted for Office Space over Trading Places but the sheer quotability factor pushes it over the top. I quote it at least once a week and at least once every fiscal year somebody understands what the hell I'm talking about.
@Shamburglar it appears our votes offset each other. I voted for Trading Places, THEN i noticed Office Space in the choices. ( btw: the only 2 on the list that i've actually seen)
@Headly I'll attest to this. I've lived thru almost every event in that movie, with the exception of someone burning down the building. Actually, wait... wasn't my building, but a client's building (and their financial records) were once destroyed in a suspicious fire. So, yeah.
@Headly The job I had right before Mediocre was extremely similar to Office Space and it was completely soul-crushing. I was close to weeping tears of joy when I got the offer to come here.
I've had a lot of weird coincidences lately; I watched Smartest Guys in the Room for the first time two days ago and since then I've heard five mentions of Enron. Just out of the blue. It is 2014, Enron should not be that common of conversation topic.
Now You See Me is only kind of in this category but I liked it a lot. Mostly because I enjoyed everyone in the cast. It was also kind of fun to see (spoiler alert!) Morgan Freeman as a bad guy.
office space is the only one i've seen. superman 2 should be on this list since it inspired the crime of office space.
@roqbthepirate It's superman III, but I agree.

@poppaearl I'd vote for this just based on James Garner.
@LadyLeela It was Barbarians at the Gate and James Garner is a dang good reason to watch it.
@poppaearl The book is amazing.
Glengarry Glen Ross
@Mofongo PUT THAT COFFEE DOWN.
@Mofongo First prize is a Cadillac El Dorado. Second Prize? A set of steak knives. Third prize is you're fired.
Hudsucker Proxy.

@Shamburglar Who do you work with and why do they fail so hard at life??
Catch Me If You Can
@katbyter I'm still not sure if I like this best because of the movie or the books. Abagnale's books are, um, informative.
@katbyter ooo yes. thats a good one. its much more about crime then office space too.
@katbyter Gosh I should have thought of that one! Great one!
@katbyter I came here looking for this. Meh didn't disappoint.
Office Space is not fiction, it's a documentary.

@JonT As long as you use the correct coversheet for your TPS reports. I hear @snapster can be a real bastard if you use the old coversheet.
Shawshank Redemption
Wall Street. No doubt about it. For the life of me I still can't figure out how Gecko was the bad guy...
@D4rthqu3
There's a movie "Wolves of Wall St." with werewolves, and Eric Roberts.
Rogue Trader was pretty good but I'm sure a lot of people didn't see it. Worth a watch.
Marmaduke
Glengarry Glenross, of course. Balls.
Alien vs Predator
Weekend at Bernie's

@Moose Did you hear all 5 when watching Lord of the Rings? That confused me too, but it turns out they're actually saying "Elrond".
No one mentioned Fun With Dick and Jane?
Moneyball
I have a soft spot for The Sting

@moondrake I second this!
