so now I feel bad, in the first verse it does say, "don't try to take my knife away", but it had been so long since I heard this song I only heard the other verses in my head...
"Once I went into a cutlery store and said 'here's a hundred thousand dollers, can I buy a knife?' and they said 'No! Money can't buy Knives!'" - Surf Ninjas:
@rschauer I disagree - it was funny at first, until every douche started to say it with a bad Aussie accent, then it just became tired. As for me - the J Peterman sendup (especially in context) was priceless.
@triplebud I didn't catch Firefly on the first run, but I had heard a lot about it, so I resolved to watch the series, if only to see what the buzz was about. That scene made me jump up and shout, "How the hell did this show get canceled?!?!?"
The Crocodile Dundee quote, famous as it is, is just too overused. The Golden Child reference - when Eddie Murphy spins the prayer wheel thing and raps "i-i-i-i-i-want the knife" is just classic.
It's not pop-culture but my favorite knife quotation is from The Lion in Winter, a movie full of sharp dialogue. There's something to watch on Christmas vacation!
Prince John: He has a knife, a knife! Eleanor of Aquitaine: Of course he has a knife! I have a knife. We all have knives. It's 1183 and we're all barbarians!
When I say I'm in love, You best believe I'm in love, L-U-V!

Don't thank me, thank the knife.
In our house it's "Knife is for Cutting". Closely followed by "Spoon is all You Need".
@belowi I came here to make sure this was posted.
Tiffany: [after Chucky stabs her] My mother always told me love would set me free.
Chucky: [pushes her back] Get off my knife.
Definitely the knifey-spoony Simpsons reference.
"I went downtown with my pocket knife, cut your other man but I spared his life, Valerie won't you be good to me." Jerry Garcia
"Once I went into a cutlery store and said 'here's a hundred thousand dollers, can I buy a knife?' and they said 'No! Money can't buy Knives!'" - Surf Ninjas:
This poll is not even a fair fight. Anything but the Dundee quote is like...well, bringing a knife to a gunfight.
@rschauer I disagree - it was funny at first, until every douche started to say it with a bad Aussie accent, then it just became tired. As for me - the J Peterman sendup (especially in context) was priceless.
Could that someone be Mack the Knife?
@SSteve Forgot about this one!
I love Dundee, but Golden Child was the clear choice here.
@Thumperchick I I I want the knife. Please.
Y'all missed the Firefly quote.
@PocketBrain BOOM! PocketBrain nailed it
@triplebud
