Thanksgiving is saved, AGAIN, by the IDEAWORKS Multi-Use LED Area Light!
16So, @aCraigL wasn't the only person whose Thanksgiving festivities were saved by the IDEAWORKS Multi-Use LED Area light. We were having a late Thanksgiving dinner with friends, the food was all ready, and everyone was just arriving. Along with this festive atmosphere, was a two day long ice storm that we have been dealing with in the central plains. These two things decided to come together in the form of a power outage just before we were ready to eat.
Being prepared for this sort of thing, I run to the garage and grab my two big maglites. Both were dead, and I was out of C batteries. No big deal though, as I just went and grabbed two camp lanterns from my camping gear. They were also dead, and I was out of D batteries. Getting frustrated, I go to my work truck and pull out my dinky little head lamp, which is also dead and takes those weird little flat batteries that I definitely don't have.
Then, I remembered the two IDEAWORKS that I had picked up on the two for Tuesday sale a while back. I had already packed them away stocking stuffers for my two brother-in-laws, but I dug them out, put in the six AAA batteries, which I did have, and BAM, Thanksgiving is saved. I set those two suckers up in the living room/kitchen, angled them toward the ceiling with their handy built in kick stands, and they lit that place up like day time.
Word of warning though, they are super bright. Like, hurt your eyeballs bright. Do not look into them.
So, yeah, way to go IDEAWORKS for saving Thanksgiving for a second time this year.
Now I'm headed to buy some batteries.

And my power buttons worked just fine on both.
The moral of the story is... meh should sell cheap batteries more often.

I refrained from commenting on the fist "Ideaworks light saved Thanksgiving" post, but two separate Thanksgiving saves just makes me pretty damn proud to be a part of it.
Those lights rock!
I bought four of them, and used them all last night when the power went out. Coupled with a couple of the lantern-type thingies I also got from here, we were basking in brightness!
And no problems with any of the power buttons.
My dishwasher had water standing in the bottom the day before Thanksgiving. I put one of these lights in the top rack and it gave me a perfect view of the bottom of the dishwasher. Then I stuck it to the bottom of the sink to clean out the drain line- held firm and worked like a champ. Then I used it to see where all the water went after I broke something loose and water poured all over the floor. So you could say that I'm washing dishes by hand because this thing worked so well. Thanks a bunch Meh.
