The unofficial android app has a candle setting. It flickers different shades of red and orange. Interesting, but I haven’t had a need for that since I use mine to listen to music while showering.
As you can probably tell, these are best used in a ceiling fixture instead of a table lamp because the leds are concentrated at the top.

I can’t even get the app to work.
It crashes on my Nexus 5X running the 7.1.2 beta.
@PlacidPenguin maybe it’s too new and they haven’t updated the app? I’m running android 5.0.2 on an old HTC One 7.

Hasn’t been updated since October 2016.
Just found a thing for Philips Hue bulbs to connect to them without needing the bridge to be connected to Router.
Unfortunately, it would mean that I can’t change the color of the bulbs, so I’d be better off buying the non-color changing bulbs.
Reassessing my options now.
