@hchavers Yes. I buy a lot of things on Amazon and I am frequently emailed offers of free items in exchange for a review from companies with no reviews… So Yes, these are probably bribed with free product reviewers
200W??!? Well, maybe it can blend soup, or other soft foods, but in the name of all that is hol(e)y, don’t put anything frozen in there - you’ll possibly set the thing on fire. (And phhlbbhhttt! to whomever said that yesterday’s power bank deal was a [paraphrased] home arson kit, you totally stole my shtick!) I’ve about had it with Meh, at this point, I think it’s time to say bye-bye to the VMP. Casemates even canceled my last order, from late May, with no explanation. And lord knows, I really don’t need any more junk in this house - I’m about ready to donate about 50% of my possessions to a worthy cause, and start living like a normal person again. LOL.
I’ve had good luck with Tenergy batteries in the past, so am willing to chance one of these, especially with the favorable Ammy reviews. (I didn’t see anything specific, but I am guessing this is not battery-powered, since it is listed at 200 W max – that would be a bunch of batteries.)
This has been cheaper straight from Amazon with BS coupon codes that got those first 5 reviews. Guess they didn’t get anywhere with that strategy so offered them to meh. The $40 regular price is obviously BS since you can get a Cuisinart for that. $25 is at least better.
Yes, there will still be ways to game the reviews system, but there’s much more risk involved since the product needs to be purchased first to have any merit. Is “shill_reviewer” going to trust some new “white_box_seller” to privately refund their purchase after they’ve already paid? Or will “white_box_seller” provide some private coupon discounting the item to a penny and trust “shill_reviewer” to write them a glowing review, knowing that such “reviewers” have taken advantage of these sellers, got the discounted item, and just scrammed away afterwards – create a new identity, lather, rinse, repeat.
I’ve got 3 Ninja devices, thanks for Rutledge’s last endeavor. One of which is an immersion blender, the best ever, can’t be beat. But it can be dropped, & it broke. I found one on Ebay & paid more than I care to admit to replace it. It can make SNOW!
So three mixer/blender/chopper/processors. I just don’t need another.
This is the best purchase I have made in a long time! I have always loved hand blenders because they make life so much easier, but I’ve never had one with a food chopper attachment. I used it this weekend and I am IN LOVE! It chopped quickly and cleaned up easily. LOVE IT!
