@gjherman hah2. Repositioning the bag seems to help. WD40 is a great tool but don't want it all over my clothes.
PS: 'was surprised by how nice this (the grey one) is. Slender. Fits a slim laptop + folder/papers, power cord, not a lot more. Slender enough to work well with a tablet as well.
@gjherman yes! Squeaking! I bought both bags last time so I swapped straps to deal with the Squeaking and then the strap broke! I still need to contact targus /meh about this
Got the blue Pewter to carry sheet music and books. A little classier than the plastic expand-a-file I'm using now, for about the same price. But tonal-damned-assassin is wearing a backpack, not a messenger bag:
Topload is a legit good bag, picked it up last time it was offered. Something about the compartment design is just perfect on this bag - I've never had a work bag handle my laptop's power cable so well.
Was hoping for a smaller bag to carry my 11.6 inch laptop. But I will get the "pewter" bag in the meantime since I've wanted a messenger bag for some time after years of nothing but backpacks.
Thank you for showing us what the bag looks like opened up. Also, the 17 inch Targus backpack came in two days ago and the 15 year old likes it. It is huge carries all his stuff with ease. Now it just has to pass the zipper test. That boy is hell on zippers.
Hey everyone, I often have the need to carry legal sized (8 1/2" x 14") papers (in folders and such) in my bag. Anyone have any suggestions for this? Every bag I have tried is too small, they always end up curled on the ends, or just not fitting. I have tried a couple of 17" laptop bags, one was almost ok (fit the papers pretty good, but the compartments for laptop were weird), the other still didn't work. Help!
@zahita459 Or look into a large-enough bag, and then get a truly stiff super-large legal paper holder to keep in the bag. Put all your legal size docs and folders into that.
I would check office depot/staples to start? I like staples better, because locally at least (DFW), if the store isnt busy, the employees will help you search the online catalog if the right item isnt in the store.
About this time 4 years ago I took pity on an (almost) pure white cat with blue eyes who was out in the field in the cold. Next morning she delivered a tiny (almost) pure white kitten who is now 12 pounds and the only genuine born-inside housecat we have. The introduction of white fur to the household changed what I wear and what kind of bags I buy. Mostly hard leather and NO black nylon bags (or black pants). Sorry, Meh, no sale. Blame the cats.
@therealjrn She had two before I found her that were delivered outside. One stillborn, one did not live. I found these later. She is now quite healthy and surprisingly muscular. She was pretty thin when I found her. Because she got good care and nutrition inside, her kitten thrived.
I work in customer service. Just started working in a new position this week, and they're going to give me what I think is a very unnecessary laptop for work. I guess I'll get one.
@ikickedagirl surprising they'll spend the extra money on a laptop (and likely a docking station) but not provide you with a nicely protective laptop bag. Poor asset protection.

It's all in the bag well meh-be not
@AttyVette So what you're sayin is that your pewter is in the bag?
The guy w/the yellow shoes isn't carrying anything. Photoshop! (Flip back and forth between the two pictures.)
Bag on top the leg Meh
I imagine a "targus" is some sort of mythological creature, like a hybrid between a tarsier and a cow.
I'd rather have a 13 inch bag
@pazimzadeh No worries. You will when you're 75. Happy now?
Well, at least it's baby arm compatible. That's a plus.
I got the Topload one last time it was offered. Works great except for some squeaking with the strap.
@gjherman Hah! I have the squeaking, too! Even though it's plastic, WD-40 fixed it.
@jhinra thanks for the tip! In for 1 and I already have WD-40

Super meh saturday. I don't use my laptop anymore since I built a pc.

@veggiebear because she's cool?
Topload is a legit good bag, picked it up last time it was offered. Something about the compartment design is just perfect on this bag - I've never had a work bag handle my laptop's power cable so well.
Pewter is actually available for $19.99 on Amazon or Newegg... making this price ever so much meh-er.http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/B00G4E4EX0
@KellanC Topload too, by third party seller + free shipping
A bookbag, you insensitive clod. Leather. A funny three-level brass clasp. A single, nerve-destroying leather handle.
And those rubber band thingies that you'd bind your books in a pile with.
Now get off my lawn.
1995 called...... They don't want this bag back
Is that like an over the shoulder boulder holder, only different?
@ThatsHeadly After reading the description, this was the second time I thought of that phrase this week, after a decades long drought.
@Stumpy91 surf punks yo.
I have received better looking bags for subscribing to a magazine.
Was hoping for a smaller bag to carry my 11.6 inch laptop. But I will get the "pewter" bag in the meantime since I've wanted a messenger bag for some time after years of nothing but backpacks.
jagged-harsh-glass
I got the topload last time and I really like it. Laptop bags are one of the things I'm a total sucker for, like headphones.
Been meaning to get a new bag since the wife made off with mine.
usual-scarlet-ogre
Anyone else notice it calls the Pewter a "Geo" in the blurb?
@simplersimon HELLO CALM PEWTER

@zahita459 Look into old-fashioned briefcases.

Hey Meh, how many laptops do you think I own? At least it wasn't headphones or speakers today. meh
@doxeelady is today's deal your fault?
These look more like briefcases than messenger bags. After reading the sales page, I'm not sure I'm "troubled" enough to buy one of these.
Too bad I missed the star water bottles.

@radi0j0hn Just the one kitten she delivered?

@RedOak it seems like most companies provide bags with the laptops, but they're often heavy and ugly
