Sword art online: the beginning
6Who wishes they were in Japan now? Well who would sign up for the lottery of 208 winners to alpha test sword art online game made by IBM. Yes IBM is making a VR game sword art online. I almost pissed myself when I read this.
For those of you who don't know what Sword Art Online (SAO) is I'll elaborate. SAO is a anime(yes I think there is a novel or manga too) that is very similar to .hack. (Spoilers warning) VR game mostly high schoolers as main characters. Get trapped in the game go into comas in real life. Die in the game die in real life.... Etc
(End of spoilers) I thought it was very well done. Not a lot of video games where you actually play in story line. Plus it seems the anime has stopped after a few short seasons.
Link to nerdiest about it also a sweet video! http://nerdist.com/ibm-to-send-sword-art-online-fans-into-a-virtual-reality-world/

you have to live in Japan though. (or presumably pay to get over there). also, i'm not sure what secretariat has to do with all this.
Qualifications:
- Who live in Japan
- 18 years of age or older at the participation on the day time
- If you agree to the shooting of the recorded material the secretariat is to produce (movies and photos, etc.)
@carl669 I'd love to visit/live in japan... or would I... I don't know... But I don't care if they record me... I mean come on, I get recorded enough at work.
I make sure I don't use the lens of the camera as a mirror to pick my nose though... ;)
I'd be all over it if it was PSO2.
I wish I was in Japan right now - since my wife is Japanese, we try and go every other year, as long as we can save up enough to go visit her family.
Haven't watched any SAO yet, but I hear it's good!
@luvche21 It's really not. Not unless you like unnecessary ass shots, scenes of attempted murder rape, teased incestual romantic subplots and all the other shit that's dragging modern anime down.
@UnguidedSALT I think you're looking at the 2nd and beyond season... the first season wasn't all that bad.
