I help record ARG Presents on Sunday (one of many shows). We’re small, but stupidly dedicated with an obscene amount of episodes spanning nearly five years. ARG Presents is a variety retrogaming podcast, but there’s also dedicated shows to the Amiga, ZX Spectrum, TRS-80, and most recently the Atari 1200XL.
@chienfou@spacemart It’s true. Our community is awesome! I’m always amazed when something shows up in the mail from Germany or Australia from fans just wanting to help us share our passion. The three of us recording are all just a bunch of schlubs yammering on about video games – the community we built, however, is full of artist, web designers, world travellers, on and on. We just happen to be the clump of magnetic glue that brought all these wonderful people together in the same place and the same time.
Today I’m celebrating International Day of Human Space Flight. 59 years ago (12 April 1961), cosmonaut Yuri Gagarin became the first human to travel into outer space.
We are having my wife’s elderly parents over for a down-scaled Easter dinner today. They have been house-bound for a month and she has been visiting and bringing them groceries a couple times a week, so it doesn’t seem like such a big risk to get together.
It’s a 50/50 thing. This week is my work week so working (like now). Next week will be church with Mom, Pizza for lunch (Mom gets to have pizza and split a beer with my wife…) then projects around the house and maybe some horizontal mambo with SWMBO, time in the pool, and/or screen time with Netflix or Amazon Prime…
Today = Sunday – same routine as yesterday and tomorrow, so … meh.
Isolating alone, since son is married and out, and wife is in memory care. And my dog will not try to have a different routine for Sunday, either.
A day to reconnect with friends and family. Well, at least it was.
@hchavers same! 'Cept mine are living with me for at least another week…so every day is Sunday at my house!!
Sunday - Record podcast, upload podcast, refresh analytics, get depressed!

Which what makes the internet such a cool place. You can cater to any niche group imaginable and eventually those that are interested will “find you”

DIPLOMAT! RAT-A-TAT! FAT CAT! AWESOME!
Where’s the option for “It’s Sunday?”
Easy
Sundays are the best! Ice cram and charry on top!
@awk
Church > Nap > Lunch > whole lot of nothing > Anxiety over work the next day > binge watch a show > sleep
Is it Sunday? What month?

Normally a work day (night) for me, but not in the past three weeks…
@ciabelle So are you going to have trouble adjusting to night shift again when this is over?
@Kidsandliz Perhaps… Getting used to getting dressed and putting on makeup everyday again might be a bigger readjustment though…
Usually shop, cook, clean but we’re still grounded for another week.
“Always” is a strong word
@bocoroth true, we should never use 100% words…

NPR all morning, shopping in the afternoon. No job now thanks to Corvid, so Monday is another day.
