Caught up on my sleep. Got home from a ski vacay at 1am Wednesday morning and didn’t sleep much the rest of the week. Now Sunday evening is for Supergirl and The Walking Dead.
Recovered from seeing the Monkees in concert Friday night. They sure look old. Picked up my pre-ordered Samsung Galaxy S10 Saturday and spent the rest of the weekend in “new phone set-up hell.” I knew it wouldn’t be a picnic transferring 300+ apps and related settings. Ugh.
@heartny Just walked in the door from seeing them at the Albany show. Yes they look old, but so do I. I’ve seen them in every possible combination of two and three maybe seven times over the last 35 years, except never Nez. I finally have seen/heard him do Listen to the Band live. That itself was worth the two hour drive back home.
@Frcal Cool. I went to SUNY Albany and remember the Palace Theater well. I thought their back-up band was excellent, but often drowned out Micky and Mike. Not sure it was intentional, as that often happens at the Paramount. Seemed like M&M were hurting a bit from arthritis, but then again, so am I . All-in-all, it was great seeing them, but they have definitely changed from when I saw them a lifetime ago at Forest Hills.
@heartny We originally had tickets for the Beacon but when the tour postponement happened and they added Albany we decided to stay closer to home. M&M did a great job albeit seemingly a little tired. But I agree with your assessment of the backing band - they did a great job. My first time in the Palace although my brother lives nearby and goes a lot. I was’t terribly impressed with the sound/video/lights systems but the venue itself was great. Our comparable theater in Syracuse isn’t nearly as nice or comfortable. Overall reminded me of the Basie in Red Bank which is one of our favorite venues. I’d certainly not hesitate to return.
Nothing spectacular. They had the handbell choir at church on Sunday, which I always like, and brunch with Pop afterwards, which is always nice. Otherwise pretty much couchtime recovering from the week, as I am suddenly more active than I’ve been in years.
Worked.
No.
@eonfifty Me too.
I tossed up my cookies.

@RiotDemon
@Barney I just watched the Happytime Murders today. This all seems appropriate.

@Barney Well I hope the underlying cause was fun.
@mehcuda67 Not really.

Worked. Sold stuff. Continuing to prove my worth.
Tried to convince people that the meh joke photo wasn’t of a dead cat.
Apparently I failed at that.

@Barney ooh. I think that might be the same cat!

Laundry, yard work, some work work, ate a pizza, watched the last bit of the old HBO series Rome. That’s about it.
Birthday party for the little one.
Laundry and naps. Getting over a cold
Got sick. Then my 4 year old got sick. At least it’s before our trip to Japan to visit my wife’s family.

@heartny I hate my smart phone.

@Frcal Here’s my view from the mezzanine at the Paramount. It’s a relatively small theater, so I didn’t end up with a nosebleed.
Spent the weekend in sackcloth and ashes mourning the poor kitty that was killed for the “joke” photo.

Had a neighborhood party/happy hour at our place Friday night, then dealt with a bad back the rest of the weekend. Bummer!
