Boring. I can mix ice cream and toppings together with a SPOON, rather than a unitasker device. IF I want to get really fancy, I'll use a bench scraper and a marble counter top, and imitate Marble Slab Creamery. Ooooh, look at me being gourmet!
The only thing I can come up with in its defense is, if you've ever thrown a birthday party for, say, kids age 2 thru 9, this might help kill 30 minutes.
@jml326 I have known about SquattyPotty for years and not thought much about it. Now ice cream is ruined for me and I have to buy a SquattyPotty thanks to such an awesome advertisement.
@mcque23 I cannot even begin to fathom what people who are buying this think it does. I can only hope they think it does something different than what it actually does. That is way too much effort and mess when I could just put the ice cream in my bowl.
@unksol If anyone is interested I am selling another ice cream mixer. It's a bowl and a spoon and requires no AA batteries. Only $20 and all dishwasher acceptable.
I got one of these in my last fuku, it's a pain in the ass to clean. Also not very practical. But for $8 it may be worth it just for the novelty? Probably not.
@Twiminy Fantastic idea - perhaps some nice BlueBe11 ice cream into a natural non GMO pork casing - sounds like Chip0tle just found themselves a new dessert offering.
my daughter was so excited when this arrived I had to go buy ice cream and a few different kinds of candy. She put everything into the machine, it would not come out so she pushed harder which made the machine break. Then the tears started, the ice cream was left out to melt and the dogs ate the chocolate candy. $20 total and no ice cream.
@Thumperchick Thanks, It was only $8 so no big deal. My daughter LOVES MEH. She repeats to me for 15 minutes every night to check MEH! My daughter was PMS wanted ice cream and crabby. Thanks again for your help

@AttyVette Icy what you did there.
@tartanknickers that's cold...
@AttyVette that sucked
@AttyVette I'm sorry I didn't mean to give you the cold shoulder
@AttyVette " he said as he gave her the icy stare...."
A blast of meh in every bite -_-
I would buy this, but the lashback from my wife would not be worth having it, as delicious as it looks.
@lichme After actually reading the description, no, no I would not.
This doesn't make ice cream, it simply mixes things like sprinkles or m&m's to your ice cream.
@slopos
$4.99 Half gallon of Breyer's vanilla
+ $3.29 bag of M&Ms
or
$4.99 half gallon of some crazy Breyer's flavor with the candy already added
Wot a bargain!

Use it once, then call www.pickupplease.org
So.... it mushes up your Ice Cream?
Guessing this is not a Mark Newson design.
This machine:
Because using a spoon is hard and wastes no electricity.
Can't " bear" thinking about this polar deal..wonder if it will travel / ship by polar express?
$13.95 + $2.89 shipping by 3rd party seller on Amazon.
What the meh? I stayed up for this?
website crash for this??? LOL
LIFE HACK: Put ice cream and toppings in your mouth. Spray contents of mouth into cup (like doing a "raspberry"). Repeat until cup is full. Serve.
Boom, you just saved yourself $8 and your guests won't know the difference.
@awk 2 Scoops. 1 Cup.
Because ice cream tastes better when it comes out of what looks like a rectum...
@MsELizardBeth no ands ifs or "butts" about it
@MsELizardBeth 2 sunbeams, 1 polar blast
@MsELizardBeth
@jml326 I have known about SquattyPotty for years and not thought much about it. Now ice cream is ruined for me and I have to buy a SquattyPotty thanks to such an awesome advertisement.
@MsELizardBeth Looks more like an uncut, flaccid penis to me.
I have no words to describe how I feel about this. I mean, won't a spoon do the same thing?
@conandlibrarian Only if your spoon is sphincter shaped.
Hey! They used my face as the meh button today! That almost makes me want to buy this - nice try meh.
If I wasn't lactose intolerant, I'd definitely purchase this. That is one delicious looking photograph.
@elimanningface Why don't you use lactase enzyme (Lactaid™) pills/tablets? They're tiny and let you enjoy dairy again.
@jqubed they aren't 100% fool proof at least with my GI.
@jqubed @elimanningface You could grind in a pile of them.
if this made ice cream as well I would buy it
I bet most who ordered thinks this makes ice cream

This looks more Meh than normal and that's coming from someone who bought three sets of those crap speakers that were up yesterday.
This would be great to serve bacon ice cream in bacon bowls!
If only someone had some bacon bowls.
@KDemo bacon bowls are easy to make, turn a muffin pan upside down and bake your bacon over it, makes a perfect bacon bowl. :)
@KDemo Yummy!
I got one of these in my last fuku, it's a pain in the ass to clean. Also not very practical. But for $8 it may be worth it just for the novelty? Probably not.
@axleman1011 I got one too. I haven't even taken it out of the box yet. Glad to see it's worth more than $5.00.
Did someone say "Concrete"? Can this be used to mix concrete?
@RedOak Only if you're adding it to ice cream.
Baby Arm.
@jqubed And since it doesn't say 'Baby arm not included' I should order 3 just gets more arms.
mcflurries whenever you want them. whats not awesome about that. dark chocolate and raspberries in vanilla bean ice ream.
@cranky1950 based solely off your comment so down to buy one now. :)
When you say that the Blizzard is a ripoff of the Concrete, that's kinda like saying that the Tweety MP3 player is a ripoff of the iPod Touch.
Props for Drewes!
Blender does same thing save your cash unless you like gadgets
Can I... Can I make sausages with this thing? Ice cream sausages?
@Twiminy Fantastic idea - perhaps some nice BlueBe11 ice cream into a natural non GMO pork casing - sounds like Chip0tle just found themselves a new dessert offering.
@Twiminy
Is @JasonToon the person who did the Woot podcast? "Toon" and "St. Louis" are clues.
@craigthom I thought @matthew did all the video podcasts. Jason along with all the other writers were in them at some time or another, though.
Side note: Is anyone of the original St. Louis crew still at Woot?
@narfcake I'm talking about the daily audio podcasts.
@craigthom Welp. Sorry. That I have no idea.
I believe @matthew did the old audio podcast at Woot.
@matthew I'm not sure you know what you're talking about.
@matthew I miss the audio podcasts. They were fun.
Looks like Vermont is loyal to Ben and Jerry's
Bout to make some bitchin ice cream like he said! Just in time for holiday!
Somewhere Ben & Jerry are Laughing their asses off
So, you push the long hard thing into the tube thing and pump it until creamy stuff squirts out the end? Um, OK.

@Mellaine Oh no! Did you contact Sunbeam for warranty service? Did you get the ice cream back out again? Does your daughter hate meh now?
@Thumperchick Thanks, It was only $8 so no big deal. My daughter LOVES MEH. She repeats to me for 15 minutes every night to check MEH! My daughter was PMS wanted ice cream and crabby. Thanks again for your help
