In that case, we also need Android Pay support.
and please also support this:
@carl669 wow. Why?
@sohmageek Because it makes that cool CACHUNK sound.
Waiting for the Bitcoin folks to join in here.
@shawn Can we also get Dogecoin and Litecoin added? I don't want anyone's favorite crypto currency to get let out here!
@shawn
I could understand you refusing Bitcoin, but you don't have to taunt Android/ Apple Pay.
@shawn https://stripe.com/bitcoin
And if you want to sell like mad in Korea -
https://stripe.com/alipay
Becoming very popular there. Lotte.com accepts Alipay. PayPal and Alipay are duking it out big time in Korea.
You can turn both these up with Stripe in an instant, they convert to USD on the fly and the discount rate is incredible reasonable. In fact, I believe you can pass on all transaction fees with both of these payment options directly to the customer.
@shawn not sure if you're trolling me or just waiting for more responses....
@FroodyFrog don't have to, but want to.
Say...did you ever think about taking PayPal?
@therealjrn
That would seriously not be good for me.
I've already bought 2 items in 603 days...
@FroodyFrog holy cow... I'm at 41 items. I didn't realize it had been so many.
I think you should also accept fruit stripe gum as payment. I mean, it has Stripe in the name so it's got to work, right?
@djslack Do you bite your thumb at us, sir?
@sohmageek Is Irk on my side if I say, "Aye"?
How about Subway gift cards: http://www.openbucks.com/merchant/ecommerce.html
@shawn That doesn't seem nearly as crazy as it should- what I am missing here?
@dashcloud Paygarden has been doing this for years - the issue is the discount rate, the fees are too high to make this attractive for physical goods - however, in the world of digital fulfillment (started with pr0n, of course, as most all eCommerce innovations have) this is becoming a more mainstream approach to reach unbanked / underbanked consumers. Once the discount rate for these transactions reliably reaches 5-7% or under, you'll see it explode. Plus, it is the most convenient way to pay with cash I've seen - as Walmart sells their cards for cash and they are accepted by gift card transactors at the lowest discount rate (typically). So if all you have is cash and the merchant accepts gift cards, you convert cash to a card at your nearest Walmart and presto, as fast as you can type that number into your cellphone, you've got your goods. Plus, Walmart is one of the few retailers that will sell you a gift card online and immediately give you the number (and it is the same number as a physical card - which is very important in this world) - so if you need to skirt MasterCard / Visa regional regulations a buyer can complete the transaction with a credit card online by converting to a gift card first without ever leaving his home or office (think Silkroad-type bitcoin-alternative purchasing). Most merchants are now passing on the fee to the buyer. It is a sector I have been watching for some time.
Meh, I will gladly pay you Tuesday for a hamburger today.
Or if you want payment pronto, I will complete all transactions by spitting in your general direction upon request.
