@mycya4me
Mine was the sweater shaver a couple days ago in sidedeal. I needed one so badly. Almost bought the thermometer Friday but it had crappy reviews and I hate throwing stuff in the landfill.
@Star2236 That is the Reason I now Rarely Buy something here or one of their sites…
Most of either useless or way too$$$
So All I am here for is the Poll/ Questions of the Day!
@tweezak
I put mine in the microwave once a week for 2 mins and it sanitizes it. Saw it on Oprah or the news, also run them in the dishwasher. But I hate my dishwasher bc it recycles the water so much, the sanitizing option is okay.
@catthegreat@PooltoyWolf@tweezak@Star2236 I microwave mine or put them in the dishwasher when I’m about to run it, but I also make sure to rinse them really well and keep them upright and dry between uses. Then they don’t get stinky. For washing dishes though I use a brush and a dishcloth. Fascinating, right?
@catthegreat washcloth. We have a good place to hang it so it can dry pretty quickly. Never gets funky smelling and can go through the laundry with the whites and bleach. Easy peasy lemon squeezy.
I bought this to hang my dishcloth and it’s game changer. The dishcloth dries so fast now compared to hanging over the sink and it just make me laugh.

I’m very specific about sponges bc I don’t want them taking the finish off my pans but I want them to clean. I buy a lot of mine from craft shows or the farmers market (I should just learn to crochet and make them myself), not sure the material it’s made out. I put them in the microwave once a week for 2 mins to disinfect it.
I use regular ones, like the ones there’re selling (buy from Costco for cheaper) to clean.
No.
No.

@mycya4me you rarely buy but have paid for membership? Define “rarely”.
@Kidsandliz I am even thinking of giving that up as it is NOW a waste of Money!
… are animals that help keep our oceans clean.
@hchavers At least somewhat filtered, can we create sponges that absorb plastics?
@heartny An old Simpsons comic joke (when Bart tries coffee for the first time and complains to Homer why he likes drinking the stuff)
“When you get older, your standards get lower.”
I pretty much hate sponges. When you pick them up and have to smell them first. More bacteria than a weapons lab. Pass.
@tweezak honest question: what do you use instead of?
@catthegreat @tweezak Good question!

@catthegreat @Kyeh @Star2236 @tweezak I also put our sponges (and all sink utensils/tools) through the dishwasher about once a week.

That’s great! Hey, @troy - I might buy this if you offer it.
@Kyeh I was pretty sure they’d never get this, so I have one already.

@werehatrack Euw. I’ll pass on that one, thanks.
Reminds me of this offering I saw on Nextdoor several years ago:
Nope, nope, nope.

Very MEH!
@eddhernandez But of course!
Sponges mean doing dishes, so a hearty meh if not a bah humbug.
This was not a dishwasher.
