The spider is innocent! That girl was just driving like a maniac!
Ooo - “one belonging to the Niagara Falls Fire Chief.”
Totaled? I’m sure that will buff right out.
They didn’t even say what happened to the spider.
@mehcuda67 It’s now in the boat. Next we will hear about how the boat crashes due to the spider.
I once went on a clandestine mission to retrieve a Sea Ray from a yacht club in the wee hours of the night. The mission was abandoned due to the inordinate number of spiders in said boat. I couldn’t even get on the thing. I’m talking hundreds of big spiders.
I shudder to think how it would have gone down if I had blindly jumped on the boat and discovered the onboard population while trying to drive it. I’m pretty sure I could have totaled some boats too.
@ELUNO I feel a horror movie brewing!
You cats are totally missing the point of the article. It’s not spiders, boats or arachnophobia. What I wanna know is when did Chevrolet introduce a flying car? That’s the real takeaway from this story.
@ruouttaurmind Self driving and electric cars are so last week.
From the photos it appears she drove off the parking lot, through the grass and into the boats. I’d say it’s the angled dock I pointed at. She somehow didn’t hit the flag pole which probably would have stopped her. Considering it’s about 55’ from the parking lot to the water’s edge, how the fuck did she not manage to hit the brakes and exactly how fast was she going through a parking lot to have not simply dropped the nose of the car right into the water?! The only spider that was seen was likely hallucinated after the fact.
@cinoclav yeah, she probably lost control and panicked and slammed on the gas instead of the breaks
@ELUNO Exactly. And then blamed it on a spider.
@cinoclav @ELUNO poor spiders always blamed.
/giphy save the spiders
Well, it was an Impala…
From NatGeo
@llangley Ah. Impala boat.
@llangley Now it’s an Impaler.
