So last night
3I roasted some almonds. Usually my other go to snack if it isn’t takis would be peanuts. But I saw almonds on sale so I made almonds. You should try it:
10-15 mins (when you smell almonds it’s time to consider taking them out) ((the good almonds smell not the “gee whiz I think I need a doctor” almond smell)) at 350 and then you can leave them naked or toss them with a little oil while they’re still warm and spice of your choice. I suggest plain salt or this is one of my favorites

Wow. “EXTRA fancy” seasoning.
@medz Hey buddy I paid extra for that “EXTRA fancy” cursive.
Somewhat relevant. It’s almost time to roast some pumpkin seeds. Yay!
@lichme Or the wave of pumpkin spice everything.
@lichme @Targaryen and candy corn
A guy at work used to roast plain almonds on the night shift all the time and it made the office smell SO good!
@moonhat When I bake cheesecakes one of my tricks is to grind up fresh roasted almonds into the graham mixture.
@Targaryen oh that’s a great idea!!
@moonhat I find tossing some sort of nut into the mixture gives it a little something extra.
@Targaryen that’s really an excellent idea. And it must provide some extra strength to the crust/bottom also?
@moonhat I hadn’t thought like that but probably yeah. My original thought was to kind of punch up the boring graham crust trying to add a bit of “depth” and texture difference (like I know what I’m talking about lol.)
@Targaryen I have only made a few cheesecakes in my life so I do think you know what you are talking about!
