So apparently fedex ****ing lost my package
4Hey guys, so I ordered a pair of those whoseitwhatsits around the end of December, the orange earphones with the weird cups, been needing a pair of earphones that I can use because EarPods are not doing it and I can't take a pair of m50X's to wear wherever
So I jumped at the offer.
But here's the problem.
My package had a "delivery exception." Which means a lot of things, whether it's a stupid worker who happened to accidentally drive their truck off of a bridge or something I don't know. But please for gods sake somebody with more expertise help me out, I need a less cheap piece of plastic and rubber too replace the cheap piece of plastic that I'm using at the moment.
Also that's 20.81 cents that went down the drain I can buy two graph gear 1000s with that (look it up greatest pencil ever)

I buy and sell a lot of very expensive and highly collectible mini bike parts through Ebay and a few other sites. I have 20-30 packages coming in each month, and send out an equal amount.
1 out of every 50 or so packages that I send/receive has some hiccup or another, and will get lost for weeks, one time a month. However, all of them eventually show up.
That being said, I would give it time to show up or resolve itself before you declare defeat. Call the USPS and file a claim. If nothing else, it will keep them busy trying to find it, which might make you feel better.
Good luck to you
A delivery exception doesn't necessarily mean a lost package. Since that product likely shipped smartpost, you may want to contact USPS to see what they think happened - but likely you won't have to, give them a couple of days and I'll bet it shows up.
@legendornothing, basically what @Thumperchick said. Usually if there's a delivery exception, give your local post office a call to reschedule delivery or work out whatever issue is there.
You'll need to add a 92 in front of the tracking number on the My Orders page for them to pull it up in their system.
@Thumperchick Shouldn't you contact FEDEX and have them sort it out?
@radi0j0hn its all done now
@radi0j0hn on that note there was this problem and then the package got moved to USPS and then ugh all this other stuff
If you like getting barraged with shipping status updates, USPS, like FedEx and UPS now has MY USPS updates. Via email or text. (Caution: don't take the word "barraged" lightly.)
It might lead to a more timely realization of a problem in the future.
Not that the status updates work for everything, but I've found acting fast with shipments from China (not applicable for Meh items) is critical since USPS bounces them back to China very quickly if they are not delivered for whatever reason.
Possess your soul in patience, and look at the wireless earbuds at CES 2016. http://www.theverge.com/2016/1/7/10730300/bragi-dash-real-wireless-earbuds-ces-2016
@Thumperchick, do you have any informal information on when these will be available here, because I'm sure meh.com funded the kickstarter, right?
@OldCatLady I think you guys think I know way more about the inner workings of meh/diocre than I do. I don't think even the buyers know what's coming up more than a few days in advance, most of the time.
@Thumperchick
Speaking of which, i heard that on July 8th there will be speaker docks.
Is that true?
@FroodyFrog that depends, is July 8th a Friday?
@Thumperchick
Yeah
@FroodyFrog then
@Thumperchick
Whoohoo!
I hope so, this way several disappointing things can all be bundled to happen on the same day.
@OldCatLady
that depends on what is wrong with them :)
@thismyusername If meh.com was a kickstarter backer of these, and if they thus earned participation bennies, and if, when these are shipped, meh.com receives so many they don't know what to do with them and thus feel the desire to share the goodies with us, then I'm sure we'll see them real soon. Since that's not how kickstarter works, nor meh.com, nor goody sharing, nor the world - we can only dream on. I was just trying to start rumours, it's been a boring day. I think adding motion-powered LED lights to them would be a great idea, too.
@OldCatLady motion powered led lights with a speaker dock, knife storage and cup holder!
@thismyusername You forgot solar powered.
FedEx essentially just throws packages at my door and runs off.
@DrunkCat for us, that's UPS. Points if they can literally toss them in a snowbank, upside down.
@Thumperchick Upside down in a snowbank is how my OLPC computer arrived on Christmas Eve a few years ago. But I'm not sure that Santa didn't do that.
@Thumperchick UPS, for me, just throws packages at a random house on my street. Great way to meet the neighbors!
yeah. that was our old postman. he would drive his mail truck into our driveway (and it's not that big of a driveway, mind you) just to get a better angle for drop-kicking boxes at our door without having to get his lazy ass out of his seat. watched him do this on more than one occasion.
Am I missing something here? This package was sent FEDEX and you keep telling him to contact USPS????
@radi0j0hn Meh uses fedex smartpost for most items... fedex gets it to the postal service distribution point and the USPS does the final leg of the delivery.
@thismyusername I'd still think it it is FedEx's problem to deal with. Worst case is both parties will point fingers at each other. But the tracking trail has to lead somewhere.
@radi0j0hn depends on where it is in the shipment, if it is before it has been handed off to usps the problem is a fedex problem, if it is after it has been handed off to usps it is a usps problem. :)
Bah - I wouldn't even bother doing all these things for something that cost less than 21 cents.
