@stoopkid Aren't they? They're the first quad I've actually been able to fly as oppposed to "just barely get off the ground under something resembling control before the battery dies".
@stoopkid I was just thinking the same thing and like an hour ago I was just flying my mini quad around the backyard. Still kinda suck at it, but shiny lights and decent control is pretty awesome
@stoopkid I love them! I bought two and was buzzing squirrels outside, when it was rising and went out of range. It either landed in a tree or just kept going until the battery ran out. Either way, I now have two remotes, one quadcopter
Meh. A five year old who'll want to play with it (and I'd probably let him, it's only $10) and 1 year old twins who will probably get hit in the head with it. Anyway, not for me and my family...
I had fun with the last one until I crashed it. Even with the spare blade it didn't fly right again. Now I have to deal with the useless remote control.
@sourhead actual pro tip: Whenever it's about to collide with something, cut the throttle completely off. If you're not sending power to the blades, they likely won't mess anything up at all, and the helicopter can easily withstand indoor falls from pretty much any height if you're landing on carpet. If you're heading into a wall or couch or ceiling fan, just cut throttle completely rather than buzz up against it at full speed.
@sourhead Pro-Pro Tip, only if you're pro: You have a remote controlled device capable of flight. Explore it and it build from it. That remote and body doesn't have to remain useless if you are willing to learn a thing or two.
Come on Meh! I've bought well over $400 in quadcopters from you in the last 30 days. What more do you want from me!!! I must say no! (Otherwise I would probably buy it)
@mfladd thanks again for the gentle shove off that cliff :) I'm looking forward to getting it this week. Incidentally I actually have one of these copters, but it's still in the box as I haven't use it yet. I might just have to re-gift it, as I may have become a quadcopter snob, and the caged Odessey ones are better suited for kids.
@mehdaf I haven't yet got my Phantom 2 off the ground. Sad I know. Drone.horse folks have been very helpful with a few questions. I will see you over there soon. I wish I had gotten the Odessey ones for the kids because the CX-10's aren't going so well for them - they are still too young.
@uwacn which is what my kids need. Already ordering more propellers. I even got them the cage for it, but it doesn't stay on very well and will probably need some sticky tape.
The Syma s107/107g is a known quantity with readily available replacement parts. Flies great, is not junk. Had one for me and 1 for my son since Xmas, both still going strong even after multiple crashes, fwiw.
@p3dal Agree with the IR problems, which is why the CX-10's were so awesome. Being able to use something outdoors if you want to (in the daylight) is a plus. These are fun for a little while inside though.
its surprising to me they have not sold out.. feels like we are reaching over-saturation of cheap helis in this country. i'd buy it if it was radio instead of IR
OMG, these buggers hurt when they crash into a person... no sane working at home mother should give one of these to her son .. Getting out the hard hat and denim jacket as to avoid lacerations!!!! ;)
These really are meh. The little quadcopter was way more fun. This one just hovers, slightly moves forward, slightly moves back, and can spin. Doesn't seem very agile.
I've had a ton of fun with the 1 out of my three that worked properly out of the box (meh's sending replacements for the other two- sure they'll be great too when I get em).
Honestly, I've also had a lot of fun tinkering with the broken ones. If I'm ever successful in turning them into more than a terrifying whirling mass of lights and rotors I'll post a video.
For those of you with bum copters, you could pick up the 180mAh (or is it 180meh) replacement batteries on amazon or similar on the order of $3-5/ea. I bought a 5pk of slightly larger 240mAh batteries for $8, hope I can cram them in!

Hmm, I still have 3 in the box from the last helicopter deal. How does this compare to ones of the past Meh deals?
@Stallion Reviews are harsh, ouch.
I dunno what the obsession is with flying plastic things that could possibly snip off a nose or two.
Man, you get those tiny quadcopters back and I will buy a couple more. Mine is awesome.

@stoopkid Yes! Bring those little guys back. After being a hit on Father's Day, I have 4 more people that want one.
@Lrok lol, I read this quickly as "after being hit by one on Fathers Day, four people want one."
I cannot believe you went political with Arnold like that... shame on you meh.
No purple? For that alone, meh.
Can't resist cheap flying dodads.
@DrunkCat recently neither could I, not even not so cheap ones. However this time I must resist...
@mehdaf it's only teeeeen dollllahs. For the price of ten items at the dollar tree you can terrorize small animals for five minutes.
Could be a good gift for a kid, although these like to come crashing down pretty easy.
Meh. A five year old who'll want to play with it (and I'd probably let him, it's only $10) and 1 year old twins who will probably get hit in the head with it. Anyway, not for me and my family...

@Ellimis thanks for the tip! I guess I'll need to buy three to get good enough to learn these tips..... Or get time on a flight simulator.
@sourhead Pro-Pro Tip, only if you're pro: You have a remote controlled device capable of flight. Explore it and it build from it. That remote and body doesn't have to remain useless if you are willing to learn a thing or two.
Same as last time? Just a 2 dollar increase.
I've basically started a small plastic flying thing collection. Keep em coming meh. Would love to see those tiny quad rotors again.
Come on Meh! I've bought well over $400 in quadcopters from you in the last 30 days. What more do you want from me!!! I must say no! (Otherwise I would probably buy it)
@mehdaf you can use these as the mini bots to protect the quad?
@mehdaf But this is better (just kidding :)
Enjoy your Phantom!
@thismyusername
But only because I like you ;)~

@mfladd incidentally that loop of Picard haunts me...

I wish I had gotten the Odessey ones for the kids because the CX-10's aren't going so well for them - they are still too young.
@mfladd The CX-10's are actually easier to fly than the Oddesy. But the cage on the Oddesy makes them harder to wreck.
@uwacn which is what my kids need. Already ordering more propellers. I even got them the cage for it, but it doesn't stay on very well and will probably need some sticky tape.
In for two. This is exactly what I asked for about a month ago. Thanks.
@Pantheist actually, make that 3
You think, just maybe, this quad was added to the catalog by an Amazon seller? It's listed (title, not body) as:
Love it!
@rrichmon This isn't a quad

My first ever meh. You guys better not suck!
Meh for ALL IR helicopters. My RF ones are way more fun. Too many random provlems with IR.
@p3dal Agree with the IR problems, which is why the CX-10's were so awesome. Being able to use something outdoors if you want to (in the daylight) is a plus. These are fun for a little while inside though.
If i am going to buy a helicopter, it needs to do some sort of chore, cause I am chore overwhelmed.
@mick Do you need to do any pruning?
@sligett Wouldn't let anyone pilot it that close to me.
Was my 1st Meh purchase last time they were offered but arrived DOA.
Left a bad taste in meh mouth.
Missing no. 1!
You should not drink and bake!
"Come with me if you want to live"

It's a cool toy hard to fly I gauss I need some practice.
Just got mine. Tail rotor doesn't spin so I can't go forward or backward =(
meh pls
