@AttyVette You'd been cleared for takeoff by air traffic puntrol and the sky was the limit, but suddenly you veered off course, lost altitude, and crashed and burned.
Five+ years ago I bought a bunch of crummy rf copters for groomsmen including one for myself. They sucked and never worked well, this one looks sweet and charges off USB, my cat loves watching these so I'm in for one.
Time to start buying toys to donate for Christmas time or "The Holidays" pfffffft. Seriously start buying for the less fortunate, any toy will make a child smile.
Bought 4, then a coworker said, get me some too, so ended up buying 7 total. meh. Anyway, we opened the first 4 and one was DOA, no lights when charging or turning the switch on. Also, at least one of the remotes was broken (stick trim button an loose throttle button). I'll shoot an E-MAil to Meh when I open/test the other ones in case there are any other issues.
We took a pair of them outdoors for initial testing/training, and they were fun to fly. Night time flying works pretty well, and the colored LEDs make flying a breeze (pun?) The manual is full of high caliber chinese engrish and is a great read. Haven't figured out how well the "light speed" or 'demo' buttons work yet.
One DOA copter in my first 4. Swapped batteries with one of the good ones and it works. Battery inside is 3.7v lipoly 180mAh. Still have a broken remote, but fortunately those are all interchangeable. Really hope they offer another quad soon though!
@ACSmith Alright-- I bought some 240mAh batteries from ebay http://www.ebay.com/itm/381106676261 which are a little bit larger than the 180mAh batteries it came with, but it still fits. I had to trim the connector slightly. The nice thing is that the added weight in the front makes them go forward faster!
Mine arrived a few days ago, the remote and helicopter won't pair. Is this as simple as swapping out the remote? My Google-Fu is apparently quite weak.
@Smersh You turn the [charged] copter on, turn the remote on, then run the throttle to top and back. It should pair. For those of you with multiple copters, set each remote to a different channel, and pair copters one at a time.
These are almost fun outdoors at night, not quite enough power to fight a 5mph wind though, even in 'light speed' mode. The CX-10s on 'advanced - three beep' mode are incredible outdoors, work as far as the eye can see the LEDs!
@hollboll Of course it is-- should it have been lower case 'h' though? You twisted folks there know I know bought that stupid air filter because of that silly animation. Let me tell you, it's quite challenging to fly and land when it's fired up on high
The second helicopter had a broken remote so I wrote and the staff sent another immediately. I received a replacement for the second helicopter I purchased after a week or so and yet again, broken remote. This time gorilla glue fixed the issue. Customer service is very nice and they sent me a replacement very quickly. But whoever is handling the shipping/delivery us pretty rough with them apparently.
Super cool XMAS presents. As of August ( 8 months after XMAS) we don’t use them as much, but when we do, it is like XMAS day all over again. How many presents can make that claim? I suspect not many, so “good on you” Meh, this was a winner.

@AttyVette You'd been cleared for takeoff by air traffic puntrol and the sky was the limit, but suddenly you veered off course, lost altitude, and crashed and burned.
Meh. Kickass Copter... ass is its middle name.
sweet chopper!
I don't think so but I am intrigued by the LIGHTSPEED button.
@stoopkid That's Light/Speed (it has a searchlight). These are stable and easy to fly, but they are IR controlled so not good for outside.
This deal is pretty fly
Last time they were 10 dollars I believe...so meh
Fuck yes. Holiday season coming up. Easy flips at $20-$25 each. Up to 7 per account...wowser.
@studerc Yes, I thought the "buy 7 for continuous 24 hour flying" was a joke that would not be true, but yes, you can buy 7... nice follow through.
In for a yellow one. No purple.
@potchi I love purple.
Hey your description says model s250 but the pics clearly say s230. So which one is it?
@deadlybunny blue and black say sj250, others are sj230. Now what if any difference, no idea
with the initial flight of the last round of indoor helicopters I managed to scratch the screen of my 55" tv. these say easier to fly, so in for 3?
@jalopatin that flat panel TV is a virtual reality, not a real place to fly. ;-)
"way more... helicoptery"
Well now - that makes all the difference.
@RedOak It sure does.
Best. Helicopter. Ever.
So no rooster or "cock" in cockpit.. I say Chicken!!!! (For all u hen pecked people)
No purple? OK, I'll get blue, since it's half of purple.
Seriously, if you had a chicken piloting this helicopter, that would be one way to WING it!.. U might say it's a FOWL idea though ..

Tree food. They laugh at me, their branches filled with slowly decomposing plastic bits 150 feet off the ground.
"Come on, we won't eat the next one..."
@droopus
And after you mention buying seven for around-the-clock flying, well, you let us buy seven.
Helicopters!!!!
Ooh, I wonder if these will be a hit at the in-laws for all the kids... all 7 of them, flying these at once...
@Thumperchick A crash of a deal!
In for two. My co-pilot needs one. dogged-finished-trouble
Still have far too many new in the box past deal helicopters in my basement, Meh
Time to start buying toys to donate for Christmas time or "The Holidays" pfffffft. Seriously start buying for the less fortunate, any toy will make a child smile.
@mehwhateverpfft this is the best comment on here.
In for one. Figure it'll end up in the trash within a week but hubby may be moderately pleased until then.
Corny-classy-carbon
meh, i need something that can be used to raid the various yacking fowl outside the morning window... would that be a seek too inhumane (?)
i wait...
I await my new toy
In for 2... one for the grandson, one for my wife's Dirty Santa at the school where she works.
@chienfou Dirty Santa at school?? Hmmmm
@chienfou get one for you to fly with your grandson befor it's too late. My boys had a plast racing each other
Welp, there's my first mediocre purchase. Converted this long-time lurker over from many years of Wonderful Looting.
Can't wait to try out the Soft Foggy LED!
@cooljoebob64 Welcome!
@cooljoebob64 what is the meaning origin of welp? I understand it's kinda like saying cool or something? What part of the country are you in
@richardaggie That is a great question. My understanding and usage is just a more casual way of saying 'well'. I'm in Texas but from Minnesota.
Somebody's parents will hate me this Christmas. harmonious-lockable-dingo
Does this mean I'm finally middle class? Two en route. Should be good.
Get 'em while they're still legal

near-coniving-general and in for 4..
OMG, what have I done. At least they are all different colors.
I hope I didn't just get taken for a ride.
In for three for christmas gifts.

I bought one -- DOA. Won't charge, led won't light up. Didn't even get the satisfaction of crashing it into a wall before it stopped working. :(
@jeraden shoot us a message. https://meh.com/support
@hollboll
Got all 7 of mine yesterday. Confirmed they weren't not DOA...flipped each for $20. Thanks for the free money!
Mine flew well for one flight but would not charge :(. Last time i got a helicopter on Meh it was DOA......
0 for 2

Replacement battery a little too big
@caffeineguy That's what I was gonna try. My 18650 is just a bit too big.
@ACSmith Alright-- I bought some 240mAh batteries from ebay http://www.ebay.com/itm/381106676261 which are a little bit larger than the 180mAh batteries it came with, but it still fits. One of the two came with a broken remote. Havent had a chance to fly bc of the issues. Deal too good to be true?
@aellifritz Contact support-- If you have one good remote and one good copter, you should be able to pair them. These copters are quite a bit of fun.
@aellifritz write in to meh.com/support and let them know what's wrong.
Just watch where you fly it!

DOA Helicopter repaired with 240mAh battery, landed on our Airfilter helipad...http://tinypic.com/r/2zykepf/9
Nobody liked my Bionaire helipad landing helipad? Meh.. @hollboll
@caffeineguy hahaha just watched this! That's great.
The "H" is for hollboll, right?
@hollboll Of course it is-- should it have been lower case 'h' though? You twisted folks there know I know bought that stupid air filter because of that silly animation. Let me tell you, it's quite challenging to fly and land when it's fired up on high
wow. I thought I was alone in my troubles but it seems we all got DOA Copters.
@franjie77 write in to meh.com/support and let them know your copter was DOA.
