14WOOF!!! Hello, Hi, how is everyone today!!! Today is a good day, those scary ground clouds are gone and the sun is out! No extra treats so far, but I am hopeful!
Already chased the squirrels out of the yard, so my work is mostly done!
I thought today it would be fun to have everyone share a post about their non hooman fren (dog, cat, bird, iguana, hopefully no squirrels!!) Maybe a picture too so we can see their bootiful face and send them luv

Yes, this is good. Everyone can see my new bed and favorite ball! Also, sparkly tree and those strange men with pointy hats and NO EYES!!! I do not trust them, very close to my velvet bed. I think they want it OR MY BALL!!! NOT MY BALL!!!

Actually he has faint tan beagle markings, he’s a lemon drop beagle. Honestly I don’t know how he stays clean. He hates water so I’ve only given him a bath maybe three times in two years, when he chose to roll around in some other critter’s poo. He does have nice soft fur though. I brush him often cuz he’s a shedding machine and he eats a lot of eggs and Purina One.
I got lucky with this one. He was given to me when he was two. His owner died and the family couldn’t keep him. He’s friendly to a fault and loves people. PoJo’s definitely an attention whore, lol.

@Kyeh @steeltoesenator Hey PoJo, does your mom use special shampoo on you to make your light color fur sparkle? My mom does and my white fur is super shiny after a bath. It makes me feel like a superhero!!!
@CharlieDoggo @Kyeh My mom does not use shampoo on me. I don’t like it. She brushes me clean and the vet says that is best so I don’t have to get as many allergy shots. I do not like water (except to drink) but I luv being brushed and getting belly rubs. I did get muddy one night when I broke loose and chased an armadillo that was digging up MY yard. My mom was sad and thought I was a goner but I came home later (way later). The mud brushed off and I was no worse for the wear. I keep hoping a rabbit will come by I can chase, squirrels are fun but they always go up on the roof to taunt me.
@Kyeh @steeltoesenator oh wow, you had a big adventure! I have seen an armadillo but it skared me and I ran to mom. Lots of rabbits in my yard at night. I always have to chase them out! They want to take over
And baths, woof. I have to have one every month or two. Mom says I either have to let her brush me EVERY DAY or I need a bath and a haircut. I DO NOT like the brush but I miss my long hair!

OOOHHHHH Hi Thag! You are not a cat or a doggo. What kind of non-hooman fren are you? Are you friendly? I am a little scared right now, but I will be nice, PROMISE! 
@CharlieDoggo Thag is a Uromastyx, also called a Spiny Tail Lizard. He doesn’t care for being handled unless he’s cold, then he snuggles up pretty quickly. He spends his days munching on salad & sprouted lentils and basking under his warm light (about 125° F). He also loves to sit and pass judgement on his pet hoomans, and we never quite meet his standards (SO disappointing!)
If Thag was a Pokémon, he’s be a ground & fire type, and his charged attack would be Tail Whip. He’s pretty quick to whip that tail around when he doesn’t want to be bothered. @CharlieDoggo probably won’t want to get his nose too close.

But he is handsome and I am happy to meet him. Stay warm my fren. Maybe he needs a fur coat!!

@CharlieDoggo Tiki doesn’t play with anyone but my brother - she’s super shy. Sophie’s never met her but she loves to play with anyone who’s up for it. You and she could have a wonderful time romping around together!

I got little Teddy at the end of October. He’s a sweet little wiggle butt, he enjoys carrots and cuddles.

@CharlieDoggo Little Teddy is a Guinea pig. About 4 months old. As you can see he sheds a LOT! If you had a little saddle he could ride on you, he doesn’t weigh much.
He also has the cutest little dirty looking face.
Hi Fren Charlie, I’m Squeaker. Here I am checking out the new window shields mom got today. I don’t think they be as fun as the old ones. I don’t know many dogs. My aunt Sarah brought her dog Fern to my house and she chased me. I hope you would not chase me.

The is Bella (the foster dog) and Blackie. They are both VERY good squirrel chasers and plate cleaners

My name is Shasta Daisy Harig & am the constant companion to @tohar1 and his Mrs.–I picked them out at a local shelter & have made their home mine for the past 14 years. Still love to get out in nature whenever possible. This is Mr. T. (as I call him) and I on a grand adventure this past October in the Loess Hills in western Iowa.

This particular little reprobate is mostly called Star. (Nearly all cats are named Dammit at some point; this one is no exception.) Only one person is allowed to pick her up, but all must supply scritches and laps. Naow.

@Kyeh Her mom was and is a not-terribly-aggressive feral; we got the momcat spayed so that she won’t have more litters, but she wanted nothing to do with people. Star and her siblings Weasel (grey tabby) and Squirrel (bullseye grey) were indoors at six days, and all three are still here. The current momcat is entirely different; she’s giving every indication of being perfectly willing to latch on to a gig with a roof over her head, and both she and her three kittens are absolutely blasé about being handled. Freya… Well, she had already been making “I kind of trust you” overtures before she showed up pregnant, and that’s a whole additional story. Spike, our bicolor grey-tabby-and-white, is the eldest, at 11, and Kitsune (calico) is pushing 10. And then there are The Ladies; Elise, a four-year-old grey mackerel tabby, and Noodle, a five-ish tortimese. Yes, that’s an even dozen. Yeesh.

@speediedelivery Is Two a Bengal mix? Such tall ears! Why is s/he named Two? They’re both so pretty.
@Kyeh We got Two’s Mom from a rescue but we think she was a snow bengal. Mom was found barefoot and pregnant. We think Dad must have been a big alley cat because Mom was a sleek 8lbs and Two pushes 20lbs. The name was shortened from Thing Two, Mom was Thing One.
@CharlieDoggo We growl to warn everyone to hide anytime there might be danger. We thought that was helpful and guard the house when the door makes noise.

I have a friend whose two cats came to him with ridiculously long strange names and he just called them “Big” and “Little.”
This is Ash. He loves everyone, often to the point of being annoying. Ash is deaf but knows a few basic signs and even obeys them when the notion strikes him.

We adopted this little sweet girl today. Her and he littermates were found living under a house that was vacant and being remodeled. They think she’s 10-12 weeks old. They are also guessing lab/collie mix. I think she’s got some hound in her. She will go see a vet this week for more shots and general wellness check. She’s technically my sons dog, but since he lives here she’s mine too. He named her Sunny (the shelter gave all the litter reindeer names and she was Blitzen). He works from home so she will get plenty of attention.
