I’ve ranted about the state of the derby before. There’s too many overseas artists that apparently have a following and they fog regardless of the execution, including obvious grammatical errors.

@jasneko@Kyeh@narfcake They abandoned the whole rights thing when a couple of major IP vested interests 'splained to them that if they were claiming any form of IP control on an infringing design, then they were in much deeper water than merely adhering to a C&D could get them out of.
@jasneko voted. I like best the black one with all the cats and hope it is printed although I wish it was a color other than black. I hate black shirts and black doesn’t look very good on me.
@Kidsandliz Thanks, that’s my favorite too! I understand - my preference is bright colors really - (like yellow!), but unfortunately those colors tend to win and print far less So I mix it up. A lot of my black shirt I wear as PJ shirts

@narfcake - Oh nice! And d’oh to the gigantic remix version. I don’t understand why they didn’t add that remix to the catalog, most of my other remixes got added, but that one the last I check was permanently sold out.

@jasneko I have a lot of your seasonal catshirts that I cycle through during the year. Did you do mediocritee exclusives? That’s mostly where I got them. I think the order history is gone, and I don’t see a lot of them on woot.
Valentines chocolate heart, the green spring flowers cat, two cats in a blue blanket, the cat ghosts that I think glows in the dark, a few Christmas ones, probably more. My favorite is change of luck with the black cat in the clovers, I wear that all year round.
@DLPanther My gut answer is around 20 or so designs at Mediocritee – only because the last time I counted, I had around 100 or so of @jasneko’s designs from shirt.woot – and I was past the 4 month mark already.
(On the topic of Mediocritee, I’m not as much of a fan for pop culture mashups, so my buying tapered off as time went on. )

@ACraigL@Kyeh@sammydog01 A super hard line when I first started joining - most derbies didn’t allow any IP at all and when they did allow it for select derbies, it had to be much more veiled a reference.
Text was also only allowed certain derbies, not very frequently.
Now is like a totally different contest than what it once was…
@ACraigL@Kyeh@sammydog01 I understand. I rarely do it myself as it feels strange for me, typically only when the theme is asking for it. I’d personally prefer it it were more (or mostly!) derbies with the “no pop culture/no IP rules”, but don’t think that’s happened in ages.
