This is a 1-fer price, correct? I remember some previous deals were a 2-fer (at higher price). I liked mine and used on low; thought they were effective and near-silent. Some reviews said loud but a tiny fan motor at max speed will be louder. You probably want something bigger like a big Vornado. Oh wait, these are Vornado brand, but smaller.
Comparison price is JC Penney? Are they still in business? So many gone these days except for some that sold their name and assets to corporate looters, aka businessmen.
I got two of these the last time they were up. One for home, one for work. They move a good bit of air on the low setting and are fairly quiet. They make for a good desktop fan.
I use the fan daily at work. The small motor is a bit shrill in comparison to a regular personal desk fan… but the minuscule footprint makes up for it… that and I don’t much care what my co-workers think when I turn up the tunes a bit. This morning they were blessed by the sounds of The Legendary Pink Dots, Dave Brubeck, and Sleepytime Gorilla Museum.
I got a pair of these when they were a twofer and was pleasantly surprised. The tower configuration lets me set it on my bedside table pointed at me without making my wife cold, and it takes up a lot less space and is quieter than even the mini-sized pivoting Vornado fan (also a Meh purchase) that I was using previously.
Yeah, echoing that these are nice. I especially like that they can be powered purely off of USB-A - my office has cube hoteling and also USB-A ports at every desk, makes it easy to carry this around.
Ima add some dissonance to the echo chamber. I’ve purchased numerous fans–several from meh–over the years. IMO, these suck worse than most. As in they don’t blow. Obviously ymmv. I was super surprised to see all of the positive comments.
I’ll say that these are stronger than a USB desk fan in that they can create a gentle breeze that will reach me from the TV USB (about 6’ away), but these things do get loud.
From 6’ I didn’t notice the low setting compared to the TV, but at 1’ (when using it to cool the bottom of my laptop) it sounds like a rumble. At the highest setting it sounds like a blender motor, but at a slightly lower volume (at 1’ my laptop could half drown out at the highest volume setting, at 6’ the TV had to have a raised volume).
Though if you’re looking for a fan with a range of 6’, regular floor fans are more effective and quieter). I personally chose these because I could rest a laptop over two of them while using the USB for power.

@pmarin and soon no one will remember what a penny is (or likely, the penny will be minted less regularly)

Breezy

Yup: handy, lightweight, quiet (on low). Would buy again if I didn’t have 2 sitting in a box in front of my house.
Joining the echo chamber, because these really are just this good, especially for the price
