that is not a shark rotator lift away: it’s a shark rocket. it’s a great vacuum but since I have both, I do know the difference. You need to correct the description to indicators say shark rocket. Great price, great vacuum!
@docflash I came here to say exactly the same thing. I own a refurbished lift away and what meh is selling is NOT that. The url link to amazon, which matches the picture of what meh is selling, is of a rocket. So as you said, they need to properly label what they are selling.
@docflash@Kidsandliz that’s great due diligence thank you for the heads up but I think everyone should do a little research before they buy anything wouldn’t you agree? that you helped though is awesome but everyone should do their own it’s their money some people care some people just don’t care.
@docflash@mellowrishgent I think that if a company is selling something they need to make sure the model name and picture are both of the same thing. It is not the customer’s responsibility to figure out if the company screwed that up.
And at some point I’m going to watch some videos on this item before I buy it, right now I have a Dirt Devil that I paid I think $10 for and I might have bought it on here and it works great.
Last shark I got here advertised a long tool for under the Fridge or low clearance areas. Not in the box or listed in manual when arrived. The plus was new model and more tools.
It doesn’t actually keep the roller clean. Cat hairs and longer people hairs will coat the brushrolls. Relatively easy to clean but has to be done more than I’d want. The extra velvety roll does seem to help give hard floors a slightly polished look.
No one has asked so I will; Is there a new battery included with this refurbished vacuum?
Edit: Has the battery been stored in a refrigerated warehouse?
@Pufferfishy I haven’t received the box, so there may very well be a battery in it. If there is, I wouldn’t know what the heck to do with it. Cut the power cord and wire it in somehow?
Says it comes with the Precision Duster Tool and Pet Multi-Tool accessories, but the pics don’t show them. Those sell for $40 and $20 respectively on Shark’s site. Both are great accessories to have, but in my very extensive experience with Shark items, it’s uncommen that these two “included” accessories would be included with this model, especially since it’s a 3rd party refurb.
Got mine in today. I must say I am slightly disappointed that it came with a full collection bin and a roller full of hair. The vacuum seems to work properly but I have very low expectations at this point.
@L00ter and @arbdef I pointed out in my post above that it most likely did not include the Precision Duster Tool and Pet Multi-Tool, even though those 2 accessories were on the “What’s included” list on the sale. Maybe they’ll refund the $60 you’d have to pay to get them from Shark. No excuse for arriving with crap and hair in the collection bin and on the rollers, though.
Well, it wasn’t banged up till I plugged it in and it took off like a “rocket” … pretty happy with this. Sucks big time (in a good way). Long hair from family members still stuck in brush but much easier to remove. Big plus is I can make it the size a 6 yo needs to use it. mini vacuum.
It just broke. I order in april 2021, I’ve used it every other day give or take since I bought and the motor just blew… Very disappointed that it only lasted 7 months, as I did like it.

This sucks!
I’ve used a Shark before when I worked at a restaurant job. Is this going to fall apart as easily?
@DoctorOW Why did your restaurant job fall apart? (Anything to do with Social Distancing?)
@phendrick Nope. It was how I saved up for college. Nothing against restaurant workers obviously, but it isn’t my field.

EDIT - I see it is fixed now.

POKER! JOKER! NOT MEDIOCRE! AWESOME!
@docflash @Kidsandliz @mellowirishgent please don’t ever say “due diligence” again. I find it offensive for reasons you should do your due diligence on.
@docflash @mellowrishgent I think that if a company is selling something they need to make sure the model name and picture are both of the same thing. It is not the customer’s responsibility to figure out if the company screwed that up.
“Model: T0NY-5H4RK”
“Model: UV380EGX/”
Is one of these an alias?
Either way, it’s the alter-ego of “Vacuum Man”.
He and Iron Man are a dynamic housekeeping duo.
They’re Marvelous.
@phendrick I need Iron Man. All my shirts are a wrinkled mess!
@phendrick That second one is what Elon Musk and Grimes are going to name their second child.
And at some point I’m going to watch some videos on this item before I buy it, right now I have a Dirt Devil that I paid I think $10 for and I might have bought it on here and it works great.
Has this refurbished vacuum lost its virginity or had the “just friends” syndrome?

@craigcush There are times when one might be disappointed by the promise of a long tool that wasn’t delivered on. Or that’s what she said, so I heard.
@craigcush @phendrick
[sorry, I’m having trouble getting to sleep tonight…]

@DavidChurchRN That must have been some potent green salsa.
I have an older single roller, but otherwise similar looking vacuum. It is still working just fine. However, it is annoying to clean its roller.
Does the Duo-Clean actually keep the rollers clean? If so, how?
Does the leading edge roller actually make it clean better?
@hamjudo

@accelerator This is not a cordless vacuum, there is no battery.
@ruiner9 so “no” then?
@Pufferfishy I haven’t received the box, so there may very well be a battery in it. If there is, I wouldn’t know what the heck to do with it. Cut the power cord and wire it in somehow?
@ruiner9 It is Meh, after all…
@Pufferfishy @ruiner9 Thank you! Somebody got it!
dated-vulgar-cherry
That is a disgusting order name. Why do use order names instead of order numbers like ordinary rip-off e-commerce sites??
@mehsonj Because they are not ordinary.

Does this come with the crevice tool that originally came with this model?
@columella Crevice tool? Is that the one you use to clean butt cracks?
The reviews of this vacuum, on the Shark Website, Suck not this vacuum. This one’s not for me, I have dogs.
Says it comes with the Precision Duster Tool and Pet Multi-Tool accessories, but the pics don’t show them. Those sell for $40 and $20 respectively on Shark’s site. I bought this about 6 months ago from another website, paid way more…that being said this is the best vacuum ever!
/giphy damp-active-soap
My vacuum died on Saturday and now this deal… coincidence?
@mikesmells Are you in prison to have a best soap friend?
Got mine in today. I must say I am slightly disappointed that it came with a full collection bin and a roller full of hair. The vacuum seems to work properly but I have very low expectations at this point.
@arbdef It also did not come with all of the attachments the post said it would.
@arbdef Euuwwww, ick.
Wow that sucks!
Short stretch of carpet, insane amount of garbage!
That said where my attachments, only got 1

@Jdub @L00ter It was really gross. I know I should expect junk from this site but not literal trash.
@arbdef @Jdub Yea at least mine was clean I guess, sucks so good its name must be Becky too!
@Jdub @L00ter Well at least customer service made this right.
Not very happy with this purchase. It’s all banged up, looks disgusting. I wish I could return it. Ugh
