Dyson can suck it! I Just replaced my Dyson with the Shark NV752 (which looks a lot like this one) and will never look back. The shark is easier to to handle, easier to clean, and suckier. The only drawback is it tends to fall over, so getting the canister holder probably helps.
James Dyson is an utter wanker too.
@bleedmichigan@djslack Cordless Dyson is the boss all around. I have all hardwood floors, and 1 area rug and the thing is a beast. Does everything our old corded ball Dyson does without the size and cord hassle. I bought mine as a refurb and many years later its still going strong and the battery still holds enough charge to vacuum the house. I’m telling you, the Cordless Dyson is the top of the list.
There’s a reason Dyson stopped manufacturing corded vacuums – they can’t compete with the better and cheaper Shark. Dyson was great when it first came out. Bu that was many years ago. Newer competitive companies have out shined Dyson.

I bought a Shark Navigator Lift-Away like six years ago on a whim and I want to replace it with a newer model just for newer features like an onboard headlight and the like, but there’s nothing wrong with mine. It’s perfect, it runs like the day we got it, still doesn’t slow down when packed full of pet fur.
I literally can’t justify replacing it because of New Toyitis when it has zero wrong with it and it sucks.
Great vacuum. Own one for our camp, bought one for my son. Handles easily, empties simply, cleans as well as any I have ever owned (better than most of them in fact). Got mine refurbed for slightly less than this, never looked back.
