When I went back to school for my current career, this award was given to one student only. The day it was given to me was one of the proudest of my life. I worked so hard to make my life better and in turn, make the lives of my patients better.
I’m proud of being married to and just proud of my wife. She declined to be photographed for this purpose, and on account of my wishing to remain married I came up with a way around it. She just graduated with her MBA last weekend, which she’s worked hard for. She makes me do things better than I would for myself. This Sunday we will celebrate one year since we put on rings and signed paperwork.
If only I knew where to get a lens to take better close up pictures…
@heartny indeed! I need a Woot! magnet, but have not “earned” one yet!
My pictures are appearing sideways on computers, but look totally normal on my phone/iPad… I blame @seeds for this technical difficulty!
P.S. if I did earn a Woot! magnet, it would be proudly, but neatly, displayed on my fridge!
I’m in medical school! It’s currently exam week and I just took a 6 hour test. I take the first part of Boards in a month and attempting to study for 10 hours a day is a struggle. But I’m loving it and am so proud that I’m here at all.
Took this picture from my front yard a couple months ago after a storm. Posted it on FB and my friend (a professional photographer) liked it and said I should print it on canvas so I did. It now has a place of distinction on my wall at work.
It’s a really small apartment, walkup, with a wonky bathroom layout and thin walls between it and the other units. I don’t even own it, I just rent, for an amount that is great for New York City (and not even Manhattan!) but outrageous anywhere else.
But it’s the first place I’ve ever lived where it’s all my own money paying for it, and all my own furniture and stuff, and I love it immensely and am proud of the work I’ve put in to make this lifestyle possible.
Wee bit personal, so not going into too much detail, but I’ve been dealing with some things over the past few years, and… I’m not where I want to be, but I am increasingly proud of how far I’ve come/how I’ve handled things/how I’m moving forward.
The things I’m most proud of are either intangible or things I wouldn’t openly post on the internet. (Hmm, how to say that without it sounding wrong?)
I’m not a professional musician, but could probably say that at times in my life, I’ve been an avid amateur. Avid enough that I used to sign my name with a little cartoon horn at the end (kind of dorky in retrospect). Nowadays, I mostly just get in shape to play for special church occasions and the like.
Despite the limitations in my talent, I managed to land a spot in a prestigious national band in college, got to play with a number of amazing professional musicians over the years, and met a lot of super interesting people. I even shook hands with (and got an autograph from) a standing US president as a surprise side effect of playing in a ceremonial band. (I almost posted a photo of the autograph, but the horn is way more photogenic )
I know it’s my nails again, but I’m oddly proud of them. I used to chew my nails really badly. It took forever to quit. Even though it’s been years, I still get the urge to chew on them. The whole reason I was able to finally quit was because I started doing nail art on them and it took me a long time. I didn’t want to ruin my hard work. I painted my nails every 1-2 days at the beginning. It was insane.
@Kawa thanks! The dotting tool is definitely my fall back cuz it’s just so damn easy.
I stopped painting my nails for over a year. Recently slowly getting back into it because I was tired of having super short nails. I break them constantly at work if they’re not painted.
@Kawa@RiotDemon Been meaning to play with a dotting tool as well. I have had a bit of fun using brushed remover to do some weird things, but haven’t otherwise played much with anything creative.
I’ve been working my butt off, literally. Filling my Apple Watch activity rings on a daily basis (started this past September, and then kicked into high gear with only a handful of missed days since mid-January) has been a real challenge, but I’m feeling good, and quite proud of myself for keeping at it! It has allowed me to comfortably go hiking in Vermont, trail walking in Tecate, Mexico, and snowshoeing in Finnmark, Norway.
I hope you won’t think less of me… But also hope there will soon be less of me for you to think of!
Here’s a drawing I made that I like more than most’ve my others.

@cinoclav That’s multiple stars!

Here’s a near perfect loaf of french bread I made
@metaphore Yup. Looks like you dropped a near perfect loaf there.
a lot of fucks were given to earn this. literally. I must have said “fuck” a bajillion times that month.
@carl669 m’kay!
@carl669 That sure is a nice trophy.
@carl669 @medz I wish I had a nice trophy like that.
There’s something I’m proud of. It’s not mine, but I am still proud
It’s a bit corny, but I stand by it.
I’m proud that there’s a(n almost) nonjudgmental place I could go to on a daily basis.
@PlacidPenguin
@PlacidPenguin I wonder if I can use your moment for mine…my name is there!
@Ozzie2191 handwritten.
@Ozzie2191
Get your own moment.
But not this one (it’s taken):
I’m kinda proud how good my blood pressure has been.
My epic collection of fridge magnets. This represents my world travels, deployments, and life events…and collection is still growing!
P.S. it also represents my compulsive need to organize fridge magnets…
@bramby2 I don’t think I see any Woot! magnets, although it’s hard to tell at this angle.
@heartny indeed! I need a Woot! magnet, but have not “earned” one yet!

@bramby2 @heartny Yes. I rotate the pictures in transit from phone to computer. It’s important, but also a long story.
@bramby2 @heartny @Seeds What’s up with this magnet?
Let’s try this again:
@heartny @Seeds @therealjrn I got her in Kuwait. Her husband is up and to the right of her.
@bramby2 @heartny @Seeds Her left? Our right? This guy?
@heartny @Seeds @therealjrn Yup! This guy. Our right. Her left.
@bramby2 If you would like these Woot! magnets, let me know. I’ll be happy to send them to you. The Pizza Ladder is a must-have.
@heartny Those are AMAZING!!! If you are serious about parting ways with them, whisper me and I would be happy to trade, arrange postage, etc.

@hillee Congrats on med school. That’s a path I once considered but really didn’t want to spend the time needed. I’m sure NYU has a good one.
@cinoclav I’m sure they do too. I went to NYU for undergrad but not med school
@hillee You have to update your labels! Lol

But all you get to see is part of the keys.
@Kawa Keys? Home ownership?
@therealjrn I edited between your post and now to explain! Not owned, just the first no one else can claim.
@Kawa Yeehaw Kawa!!! That is a fabulous feeling and a real achievement!

@RiotDemon Gorgeous! I really should play around with a dotting tool again. I also always keep my nails painted for similar reasons.
@Kawa thanks! The dotting tool is definitely my fall back cuz it’s just so damn easy.

I paid off my mortgage early. I guess that’s something to be proud of.

I’m proud that in the past 10 months, no one else has since been crazy (or dumb) enough to waste money on this shirt.
Just in case you want to prove humanity wrong, though:

CatShirt Fool’s Day!
Price: $19.00
Condition: Probably New
@heartny
Now he’s just messing with us.
@heartny @PlacidPenguin Aren’t you supposed to be analyzing my writing right now?
@narfcake
I try not to make fun of easy targets.
@PlacidPenguin Ditto. But what’s up with that"R"?
@heartny @narfcake
15 hours later, and I still have no idea.
In addition, his ‘k’ is looking odder than usual.
@narfcake @PlacidPenguin The second ‘A’ looks like a candy corn. Or maybe I’m just hungry.
Congrats @UncleVinny on most stars and @brhfl on being moving.
