@KDemo I have a week where I'm going to be a bit less active coming up... Wife is traveling with work again. So.... Don't expect much that week. I know dereliction of duty and all... :( They said she wouldn't be traveling until 2016... but she was recognized and asked to travel by one of the upper management. So... She's going.

Normally , with the weather cooling off, I'd have made some scratch soups and really deep cleaned in preparation for Halloween ( Oct 1 my house will look like Halloween threw up all over it) . @christinewas I don't usually like playing games because somewhere I became competitive. I don't like it because it does become an obsession and I find it hard to walk away. I'm an only child who moved every two or three years growing up, when did I get competitive? There was no one to compete with, for Pete's sake.

And then I get all pissy when others do. WTF! We're a team! Get back here! Forget the fire burning the house down, we've got a game to win!

I hate it. I absolutely hate it. I hate this feeling. Yet, here I am.

And I have a huge ass mosquito bite on my arm and I blame @sohmageek for that. And if I get West Nile Virus, he'll really be in deep shit.

@sohmageek I love the name Raylan. I started watching Justified on Amazon last year and watched the first season by myself, then my husband got interested.

Now, we're re-watching it, it's been three weeks and we're up to season four.

@sohmageek There's something about those first few Halloweens with a little one. You dress them all up and they just destroy it, and it's great fun to watch. And they can't say anything about what you choose for them! I have a photo of my now teen boy when he was little in a giant panda costume. He was obsessed with looking at himself in it and we spent hours with him on the bathroom counter so he could look in the mirror.
And we may or may not have a couple decorations that never come down because we're weird like that.
Beer? I'm jealous. First cup of coffee here.

@lisaviolet My husband and I were just discussing the fact that I'm brutally competitive. Yet I hate sports. He said that's good, because if I was on a field, I'd take out everyone just because I got carried away.
I've decided to take it a bit easier. This bug I've got does not like me getting so wound up. We'll see how long it lasts.

@lisaviolet I was an only child, as well. I blame my parents for some of my competitive nature. We played a lot of games and there was no "letting the child win" in our house. Plus, I was around adults so much... I can see how that might have fed the competitive thing.

I have to wrestle with it and calm myself down sometimes, but I think I've gotten pretty good at managing my competitive nature. I'm ok with being the way I am.
