That kitty, Miss Elizabeth aka MissE, will be 22 years old next month. She was my mom's cat. She was six months older than her sister, the kitty who's name I took (Lisa Violet) for my online presence.

@lisaviolet Wow... If I remember, I'll put a picture up of my late kitty... I had her for 10 years.. She got sick and we couldn't figure out why.

@sohmageek At our most, we had 38 cats. Rescued from the streets (many were taken in as feral kittens; we'd get them fixed and we'd get so attached that we'd keep them.)

We're down a dozen and have taken in two adults in the past four years. One was going to be an outdoor only cat, the new wife didn't want animals in her home. My best friend called me in tears, could I take Mario (Mario was the cat of a friend of hers who died in a car accident eight years previously) I said yes. The husband and his new wife moved to the foothills in Rancho Cucamonga, coyote country. Their first month there, he let their elderly small dog out into the backyard and forgot about it. He found his remains the next morning. I'm glad we took Mario.

And then there's Rocky, who we got last year. He's the kitty who's senior owner moved in with her daughter and the landlord says "you go or the cat goes". We took him in with the caveat that should they move to a cat friendly place, she could have him back. He's still here.

Our youngest is eight years old now, most are in their teens. Attrition will lower the population and at some point, we'll be able to have a life. lol

@djslack We made two, one for a friend. Highly recommend making friends with local appliance store to get freebies, and opting for stainless drums. Angle iron for easy feet, dont forget drawer handles to lift the damn thing to move it. Soap scum is a bitch, sorry.

In a way I want more players. And another way it's easier with under 50. (Which we still could go up more to hit that) I wanted to have a fun way to do this. :) I've been on here and some weekends I end up having the top 15 threads are my comments. So it would be nice to get more people active on the weekends.

@sohmageek - Yeah, teams or not, the same people seem to get involved. They're lucky if they're on the same team.
Weekends have always been quieter, you're right. They might be family time or chores and errands might keep people busy. Anyway, it's a valiant effort, and it will be interesting to see how it works. As long as you're enjoying it, it seems like you are.

Maybe it means something else, but my preferred interpretation is "slacker". Especially when it comes to scavenger hunts. So... please live up to my interpretation of your name.
