@PHRoG Oh, no- I have! Just since we moved to the foothills of the rockies 5 months ago it’s pretty much impossible. The satellite internet is super slow. (and it’s pretty much our only choice out here)
@Raider that’s awesome. I missed the first three or so because I bought the item and thought you either buy or press the button. Never knew what that round button did. I figured out you can press the meh button and buy the item too only after I missed those first 3.
I got hit by the face eating bot maybe 2 years in. I am 100% positive I clicked that face but it didn’t register the next day. Now to prevent that from happening again, I always verify my face clicks on a second computer.
@cengland0 I almost missed a day or 2 because of the face eater. One time pretty early on I think I caught it in the last minute when happened to load the page up just a hair before midnight. I know I had clicked it, but it didn’t register. Must have clicked with seconds to spare. Another time or 2 it got my first click but saw it at another point in the day.
Not sure how I haven’t missed a day yet, I do not set alarms or do anything crazy to remind myself. Just have a run down of websites that I tend to visit daily and this is part of the run. At some point it will come to an end with a life event that just eats my time for a day or travel with limited internet. Honestly I’m amazed it hasn’t happened in the last few months. Being a teacher this year has been something else. It is purely luck at this point, will see how much longer it lasts.
One of my favorite subreddits is delusional artists. Someone posted a stuffed bear that had it’s face removed and a new clay face put in. It had teeth and everything. I’ve been eyeing teeth at Amazon- they’re actully not that expensive.
And most posters though it was fantstic and not delusional.
@sammydog01 I hauled ass to Joe’s Etsy shop the minute I saw Scare Bear on Instagram. I was gonna buy it, it was love at first sight. But he had already removed all his listings, apparently for this event.
@Kyeh@Pony@sammydog01 another good thing to order if diving in to horrifying plushies is Thermoplastic beads… Melt in hot-ish water and you can mold them into any shape and then they harden back up as they cool… it is how I made the the stomach area on the Scare Bear
@Koolhandjoe@sammydog01 Speaking of paint, I have my blank doll all prepped and ready to paint, but all my paints are in a box somewhere and I haven’t been able to find them yet. Very frustrating. I don’t want to buy all new paints when I know I have a bunch. But as soon as I find them, it’s ON.
@Koolhandjoe That’s actually how I got this pretty! I used to have a small farm and raised the most amazing pigs you ever did see. I traded part of a pig for the skull. My friend’s husband is a badass taxidermist in central oregon and he said I could have it if I gave him bacon! DONE!
